An amazing read

Thieves gambit is a exiting adventure with lots of twists and turns. I really recommend it.

Fun but Predictable

This story was fast-paced and fun. However many of the “twists” you could see from a mile away.

Okay, so I enjoyed all the twists and turns in this book/game, but the ending, really!! I finished the book and felt totally empty, betrayal at the highest level. I would have hated to do it but, even though she was my mother, I’d have told her “you’re dead to me”. How could you ever trusted her again. What a cruel mother, back then and now. But to have that part of the story omitted and never to develop is a very big bummer. So read at your own discretion!

Heisty Adventure Story

A fast paced story with lots of fun characters, heists, and a little teenage drama--has everything you're looking for. Kid Lit Craft did a deep dive on this novel--if you're a writer listen to the podcast!

Great book! I really enjoyed listening. I’m on waiting list for book 2 Thieves Royale.

Outstanding book! Can't wait till the next book. I am fully invested in this series!

Twists and turns.

The ending was good for them to be together…although I did figure her mom was behind this in some way.

Pacing

Loved the pacing of the story. I’m already set to read the next book in the series.

Not original

References, heist, movies, and uses traits and references them. I don’t feel like you should do a heist movie if you don’t have an original idea and borrow and reference so much that it has to support your story.

Predictable story. Uninspired narrator

For a book filled with thieves and various capers, it was SO boring. The big "twist" ending is predictable from the very beginning. While not completely monotone, the narrator does not convey any actual or believable emotion the MC is feeling throughout. I can't tell if it's a problem of the writing (failing to build tension, excitement, or any other emotion) or if this is solely a narration problem. A complete and uninspired ripoff of the Hunger Games. Dont waste the time of money.
