Pornographic

I was really hoping that this would be a light and fun listen. The audio is great. The story was good at first. However, it slowly becomes crude, and then fully becomes erotic fiction.
Not my cup of tea—- and I spent 5+ hours listening to it before it totally turned adult!

Dressed up trash

It started out ok enough for a cliché romance story but took a turn for the sleazy. I couldn't finish it due to the focus on sex which is VERY DIFFERENT from romance. This book illustrates all that is WRONG, relatonship wise, in our society.

The romantic & comedic tale of a crocheter and woodworker

I love the positive and realistic portrayal of a single dad. Also it’s wonderful to see the male MC accept help and friendship. Now as a lover of all things yarn—especially crochet—I really enjoyed the female MC’s hobby and the mention of Etsy and Pinterest.

A great holiday romantic comedy with just the right amount of steam.

The narrators were excellent.

Sweet Holiday Tale Topped with A Dollop of Steam!

I fell in love with this family when I read Nick and Noel's playlist last year! I was excited to see a new story this year about the middle child, Merry. These characters are normal, quirky, witty, and flawed. The love story foibles are realistic. The steam....is perfect. it's not dark or ribald. It is real. It may come as a shock to some, but most adults partake in frisky business, and it only makes sense these characters would. I am thrilled for the love connection, and the additions to the family. I want to learn about everyone in this world! Narration was well performed and fit the characters naturally.

I'm crossing my fingers I get to learn about Holly and Sam. At some point I want to know about Pike. oh, and I want a Voodoo Peen!!!!

The breath of christmas cookie scented ice cold air I needed to inspire some joy. It was a bad year. This made me smile.

Sweet Romance

I kept waiting for this book to turn into "erotica" like so many reviewers said...but if never happened. It's just a sweet romance novel. Yes, they have sex (gasp), but nothing too explicit.

As someone who cut her teeth on 1970s/80s bodice rippers and who remained a romance fan through the 50 Shades era...trust me, this is tame.

That being said, it's witty and sweet and a great listen for the holidays. I will read more from this author.

Vulgar and puerile

I was looking for a fun Christmas season read, but this was insufferable. I pushed through eight chapters before calling quits. It is basically a Hallmark movie, with lots of vulgarity and utterly witless characters. It has the popular quick, zingy sarcasm that so much of today’s “literature” favors, but without an ounce of charm or intelligence. And the super-lusty women and nurturing men (as if we haven’t seen this inverted paradigm ad nauseam) fail to inspire the reader’s interest or sympathy. I don’t want to place too much duty on a popcorn read, but this failed in every sense to evoke the season, romance, or even a hint of warmth for character or story.

fun

From freezing weather, slipping on ice, carhartts, and driving to twin this book is especially fun if you are an idahoan. I fast forwarded through the sex.

Lovely story ruined by ugly, vile, vulgar language

A sweet story, good narrators, and totally unnecessarily ugly, vile, and vulgar language, indicating that the author needs lessons in the English language and a good Thesaurus to overcome her obviously cloacal upbringing. I downloaded from Audible Plus and thankfully did not purchase.

What a disappointment!

A girl named Merry in a town named Mistletoe gave me the impression that this would be a nice, feel good, simple hallmark-esque story for the holidays. Not only is Merry prone to a none-too-“occasional” foul mouth “slip”, her mother is as well. I didn’t go very far into the story, so not sure if the men in Mistletoe like to cuss as well. Don’t care. Although I shudder to think what the “one word” is that the author doesn’t use.

Had a lot of potential

Kinda liked where the story was going, but I kept getting distracted by the “kid” voice, everytime his son talks is like the magic is lost for me.
