Story
After the events of Sons of the Oak, Fallion and Jaz, the sons of the great Earth King Gaborn, are living as fugitives in their own kingdom, newly invaded and secretly controlled by supernatural beings of ultimate evil. The sons are hiding until they can regain their rightful places in the land. Fallion seems destined to heal the world and feels the supernatural calling to act. When he summons his powers to do so, though, two entire worlds collapse into one, and every living thing in both worlds is transformed into an entirely new being - yet still somehow the same. Evil is certainly still the same - and may have influenced all of this for a terrible purpose.

Great series
There is a lot going on this book which is a little disjointed and hard to follow. Our previous main protagonist is relegated to the sidelines and we follow other characters in this book. The progress of the book isn’t fully satisfying but it is compelling and I want to know what happens next. Great narrator!

Half a book
This series is one of my all time favorites, but this book and the previous one in the series, "Worldbinder" each felt more like half a book. The story seemed interrupted by the transition between the two when it should have been one single book.

Now it's getting interesting
Would you consider the audio edition of The Wyrmling Horde to be better than the print version?
Never read the print edition. I only listen to audiobooks.
What did you like best about this story?
The author seemed to get his groove back.
Which character – as performed by Ray Porter – was your favorite?
Daylin Hammer (sp?), but all the characters are necessary. Also Carissa (sp?) the wormling girl as she was very brave.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When the big wormling who rescued Carissa was killed. And when the Netherworld accepted the humans for a few days.

Awesome Reads
If you could sum up The Wyrmling Horde in three words, what would they be?
An Awesome Read
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Wyrmling Horde?
This is always such a difficult question as the story is striated over many books and the series is wonderful and imaginative.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
Very much the interplay between good and evil
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
So very much so when the main character became entrapped and feared for life
Any additional comments?
David Farland is a truly great writer, try reading also books by John Ringo, Ann Rice Chris Fieldwater and Diana Rowland.
