Is this fiction or a true story?

I was fascinated by this book. It felt very real and I had to resist the impulse to go to my computer and try to look up the names of the characters. It was very well developed and the narrator did an excellent job.

Unbelievably True story

Fast read. I was riveted. I didn’t know it was a true story until after I finished it. I read the whole thing thinking it was fiction, and I cried for poor Lori—a character—a woman so real, and yet so alone and so remarkable. When I read it, I found myself thinking of true stories that sounded somewhat similar. I believed it and found it wholly unbelievable all at the same time. Stories like this just take my breath away.

Dry

Info about forensic genealogy is somewhat interesting. But, in general, the storytelling is too clinical.

A good short story

Read more like a documentary. I did enjoy it and it was a nice break before I get into my next book.

A mystery

A mystery, great narration and engaging, yet the mystery never becomes completely resolved. Is it scarier to keep some mystery lurking in the shadows...I suppose...

thoroughly engaging

I felt that the story was well-crafted, and well narrated. It's the longest story in the Missing series and I had been expecting it to wind to conclusion at around the 1-hour mark. I think that that added to my enjoyment - because everything that came after that felt like a bonus. The story *could* have wrapped up earlier... but I felt that it was good story-telling to keep adding little temptations to keep the reader engaged.

I'd not normally choose or listen to something like this, but I am glad that I did.

Don’t waste your time...

This was really a horrible, disjointed story. I’m pretty sure it was a commercial for genealogy companies.

Jane doe

Very interesting listen, the story is well written and the narration is clean and easy to listen to. I was hooked from the start, a nice short performance which can be enjoyed in one sitting.
