I was expecting more from Anne Rice

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Anne Rice is not na author for everyone, and she has better books than this one. It wouldn't be a book that I would recommend to everyone.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I feel like the story in itself was small for such a big book. Comparing with the first, this story doesn't flow so naturally or is so interesting.

What about Ron McLarty’s performance did you like?

I like his clean voice, that's easily understandle.

Was The Wolves of Midwinter worth the listening time?

I've been a fan of Anne Rice for a long time, so she's always worth listening too. She can't however always please all.

brilliant I want much more

absolutely loved this book the second in the series, I want a third please Anee Rice .
I want to see the future.,

Disappointing Sequel

I'm not sure if it's because "The Wolf Gift" was so good that this sequel was so disappointing, or whether it just wasn't up to much itself.

Either way, not much happens until the last third of the book, where Reuben's brother comes into his own.

How wonderfully drawn these characters are ! And how lovely it is to spend time in their company !
Anne Rice is an amazingly gifted and observant writer , whose stories are truly unforgettable and whose characters continue to live within you .
She makes the supernatural seem normal and totally believable .
Ron Mclarty gives a wonderful performance ! Each voice superbly rendered . Unforgettable !

Breathtaking

This book is the first audio book that I go back too over and over again.
Ron McLarty has a liquid velvet voice, he truly brings all the characters to life, they become embedded and beloved, this is truly one of my all time favourite audio books, Ann Rice is a gifted author who's descriptions and attention to detail sets a scene that you become fully submerged in. Nideck point is a place I want to live.

Not what I expected.

What disappointed you about The Wolves of Midwinter?

The names of the characters. The plot. Had to abandon just too hard a read for me.

What was most disappointing about Anne Rice’s story?

For the first time, her work felt old and tired
