The Witness of the Stars was written by Ethelbert William Bullinger, (1837 - 1913) an Anglican clergyman, theologian, and author of books like Commentary on Revelation, Great Cloud of Witnesses, and How to Enjoy the Bible. In this 1895 work, he draws on astronomy, celestial charts, and quotes from scripture to make a case for the existence of the gospel in the existence and configurations of the stars and constellations.

The author interprets each of the 12 signs of the Zodiac in the light of biblical prophecy, arriving at some fascinating conclusions. Contending that that the signs were intended as a set of celestial books, he examines the meaning of each with reference to scripture and history. Bullinger's unique views are considered controversial by many, but The Witness of the Stars remains a thought-provoking listen.

Loved it. I'm going to have to listen again and again to remember all of the information.

Knowing the end from the beginning.

My personal faith is God knew the end of his creation from the beginning and shared that with us. Having said that I always wondered what the original verbal teachings were knowing he made the heavens obviously the only record there could be from the beginning. I think this collection of translations of the ancient star names in order of brightness comes as close as I have found enjoy.

A cosmic celestial dig of Faith by Design!

This audible had me from the jump at the title written in the stars … it took me down many branches of our universes great tree of life and how our fore fathers / biblical ancestors used the stars as their road map with The Who What Why answered in this book to the musings of the previous queries in our own minds.. showing us not just pagans used the stars - but Gods people were to for purpose and direction and how they intricately worked together in their origin and design. This book brings multiplications of new education and intricate detail of how God communicated to man & still does in another way through the first heavens we see if we look to His perfected unending planets not as existing, hanging or having other life, but look to their glory in their perfect design for their map and expansive architecture to relay Christs commission and our continued one . This stellar creation made through His spoken word bringing it into finite cosmic celestial grandeur is enough to just pause and reflect on in itself . Our twinkling sky blanket tapestried with such detail became a perfect representation and instruction from His Heavenly Majesty about His earthly one and weaving His glory throughout it . Written in the stars brings Gods infinite artistry into a thoughtful well exposisted biblical study leading down a deeper wider expanse in a rabbit hole of ever stretching wonder and awe in our faith journey !

EXCELLENT BOOK

this book is an excellent book to read it explained so many things and it put things into digestible understanding. I would recommend this book people who are into heavy reading and our believers in our savior Jesus Christ.
