Publisher's summary

In this series finale, the Kincaid Pack is forced to put everything on the line, or lose everything they hold dear....

Damien has a secret.

Actually, he has more than one. His entire life within the Kincaid Pack has been a lie. Now that the truth is starting to come out, he’s faced with accepting the consequences he set into motion years ago.

And hoping his mate will forgive him.

Except the reckless actions of his past may prove to not only be his own undoing, but that of the pack he’s come to love.

Carter gave up on finding his fated mate years ago.

He has a medical practice to keep him busy, a pack he’d do anything for, and a family that’s always been a little too nosy for his peace of mind.

Learning the witch he’s grown to admire and have feelings for has betrayed them all? Just proves he’s getting too old for the whole falling-in-love thing. It doesn’t matter that the moment he catches Damien’s unaltered scent, he realizes another devastating secret the man has been hiding.

The only thing that matters is saving the pack—and its alpha.

With Rick’s life hanging in the balance and the pack’s enemies moving to strike against them while they’re at their most vulnerable, it will take every scrap of magic and bravery Damien possesses to prove once and for all where his loyalty lies.

The Witch and His Doctor is the sixth and final book in the best-selling Kincaid Pack series, best listened to in order. It features an age gap, fated mates, a size difference, hurt/comfort, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

Finale!

This is the 6th and final book of Kiki Clark’s Kincaid Pack series. While each book covers a couple’s/poly’s romantic arc – there’s an ongoing mystery/suspense that weaves through the books starting in The Alpha and His King. As such, this review may contain spoilers to earlier books.

There’s always some trepidation when I’ve loved all the books in a series as much as I have these as to whether the series ending can live up to my expectations. Fortunately, Clark did a great job with this finale.

I’ve been looking forward to Doc & Damien since I’ve loved both their characters and age gap romance. Given how much was going on in this book I felt the main couple got a nice relationship development. The end of The Enforcer and His Heart had huge revelations in terms of Damien being Jess’s brother and that he’s been spying on the pack this whole time. Damien’s acceptance of the shunning by everyone except Tashmica had me bawling for the majority of the first half of the book. Once the Pack learns the reasons they slowly open up to him. Doc’s struggle felt realistic and not overly dragged out. (Doc’s term of endearment for Damien of “Baby Boy” wasn’t my fav, but I know that’s just a personal preference). He became a staunch advocate and protector of Damien. Swoon.

Things with the council are coming to a head and all the interactions and secrets that are revealed offers a lot of tension and suspense. While I would have liked the part that took place in Mehko to have been told in real time instead of an “after” in the last chapter – I did enjoy the “big event” between… ok, no spoilers.

The epilogue offered a nice wrap up for not only Doc & Damien, but many other members of the Pack as well. I loved the way Clark concluded not only the story but the whole series.

She definitely has a spin-off series planned and I’m looking forward to those books.

Narration:
Kirt Graves was absolutely amazing in this series start to finish. But this one is emotional and I was literally ugly crying through much of it because his performance was so evocative. All these characters that I’ve spent years following, loving, adoring – he really was each one of them. I don’t have the words to express how fiercely I love the narration.

Loved It!

I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. The story was exciting and suspenseful right from the very start and I was hooked the whole way through! There was so much going on that I was riveted. Rick's life hanging on by a thread while his pack desperately tried to save him. The threat of the O'Hare's looming over everything. Damien forced to betray the pack from the blood oath. And Carter learning that Damien is his fated mate. My heart broke for Damien, for the pain he was in, the guilt he felt and the loneliness. I was so grateful for Tashmica for trusting in him, and for Carter wanting to comfort and protect him despite everything. A fast-paced, action-packed finale. I loved it!

I listened to this audiobook narrated by Kirt Graves. I've listened to a few other books he's narrated and enjoyed them. This was no exception. He brought these characters to life. I liked his voices for the different characters and his tone of voice.

Love this series!

Kirk Graves does an amazing job of bringing this story to life.
The Witch and His Doctor is the 6th and final book in the Kincaid Pack series.
What a conclusion to the Kincaid Pack series!
I loved Damien and Carter together; their relationship was so gentle and sweet and the way the Carter cared for Damien was beautiful.
Of course there is plenty of action and intrigue to keep you turning page after page.
Although this series is done, there are still characters who need an hea and I am hopeful we will see more of this world.

Good narrator, great story!

I absolutely LOVE this story! It's the final book in the m/m romance series, so you're going to be a bit lost if this is the first book you read, but overall this is a fantastic ending to a great paranormal shifter romance series. Everything is given closure, with enough open to leave room for more stories, but it still feels like the series is finished. 5/5 stars for the story!!!

The narrator Kirt Graves did a good job with the voices, making them all seperate, which was especially challenging for this book since it's the finale so everyone has to show up haha. There was a good amount of emotion showing through. However, he struggled with the female voices, a lot of them didn't sound like actual women. But overall he did a good job, 4/5 stars.

5/5 stars overall.

Audiobook Update
This was such a fun listen. I really love this series and the narration does a wonderful job bringing Damien and Carter to life. This is the finale and it does not disappoint, I loved the pack politics and tons of action as the Council and the Kincaid pack face off. This was maybe my favorite couple in the series, Damien and Carter have quite a lovely connection. A highlight for me was Carter’s dedication to his mate under very trying circumstances, I loved how protective he was. The world building is very well done over the series, with excellent characters, and a wonderfully crafted plot that twists and turns over the course of the six books.

An amazing finale

I've been excitedly following this series since I first discovered it, and once again I was blown away by the storytelling, action, and emotional romance journey. This book picked up right where the last one left off, and the sense of urgency only grew as the Kincaid pack approached their final battle. I don't think I breathed at all as I sped-listened through Gabriel's frantic rescue of Rick and return to the manor, and Kiki Clark seriously had me waiting on the edge of my seat to see if he would make it out okay. The introduction of Carter and Damien's connection provided welcome relief from the tension, but so much of their mate bond was shrouded in uncertainty over how the pack was going to handle Damien's spying that even that wasn't a guarantee. I got pulled into the narrative effortlessly and got my heart all tangled up in the truth Damien couldn't speak out loud. He was much different than the person I expected him to be going into this, and I'm really glad I got to experience the entirety of his story, even when the reality broke my heart. Carter's steadfast loyalty and care was a welcome balm when so much of the pack mistrusted Damien, and I dearly loved how sweetly their romance sparked to life. Another unexpected treat was getting to intimately catch up with Rick and Kai again, and listening them heal their emotional rift brought tears to my eyes. As the impending threat of the O'Hares pushed the storyline forward, Damien and Carter still carved out time to connect and explore their mate bond, and that was one of the only purely sweet things I could cling to when so much chaos threatened to drag them under. Damien in particular went through the emotional wringer during this story--pain and grief and rage all so potent I could almost taste it--but he never stopped fighting for the future he wanted. I am in awe of how much mental strength he and Carter exuded in the most difficult scenarios, and watching them and the rest of the Kincaid pack take out their enemies in a heart-pounding and unpredictable final clash was the perfect climax after all the buildup. I'm still recovering from the sheer relief and happiness of knowing that the Kincaids can finally let their guards down a little and celebrate, and I absolutely loved the sendoff Damien and Carter had, first with their mating and then with one last emotional release. Major kudos to Kiki Clark for ending this incredible series on such a high note, and I can't wait to see what's next!

Great finale to a wonderful series

There are not enough words for how well this story was written!! Kiki managed to bring everything to a close without it feeling rushed or feeling cheated on something. Seeing all the couples and families and where they are and how they are was a great part of this whole story. Seeing our doctor and his witch finally get their HEA was wonderful. I loved how all the bad people got what was coming to them! I hope we hear more from this group in the future and find out about a few of our friends that still needed to get their lives together. Well read by Kirt also I enjoyed the voices and felt they were well done.

Wonderful end to an amazing series

Well worth the wait, but I wish it didn't have to end. Other than the final battle being a bit anticlimactic, I enjoyed this book. Damien and Doc's mating was gentle and sweet. Kai and Rick will always remain my favorite couple from this series, so I was glad to see more of them, though they had some hard moments. Well written book with some excellent character development. Love this series, sad this is the end. Kirt Graves did a good job as usual, bringing these characters to life.

Kincaid Pack finale

Oh, wow! Kincaid Pack series has been intense since the beginning but this is beyond anything I could have imagined. Damien and Carter’s story is the perfect counterpart to the showdown that was happening. Yes, Damien had secrets and those secrets could have damaged so much. Carter trusted Damien and slowly, the others did as well.

Absolutely fantastic!

I adore this series (adore Kiki Clark!) and Kirt Graves completely delivered on this book! His performance brought the characters to life and his talent for varying voices and accents never left you wondering who we were hearing from/about. I was so excited to listen to the audio as I’d loved the book and I’m so glad I did. Stellar!

The conclusion...

Thrilling, sad and fast paced ending to the overarching storyline of the Kincaid Pack Series. It was gripping and hooked you from the beginning.

The lead up from the previous books cliffhanger is just the start. With all the tense moments, hints and twists, it kept me on the edge of my seat at times. The world Kiki has built is huge and powerful, and I can see so many more stories to come!!

I felt like this book had a different approach in that it was "written" with different perspectives with moments from Rick and Kai and not just Doc/Carter and Damien which are the "main" couple of this book. I liked that we got more from Rick and Kai and things came full circle but oh what a journey!!!

There were a couple of "things" left open that I'm really looking forward to seeing what Kiki plans for then. I love the Kincaid Pack Series and look forward to many more stories in this supernatural world!!

I loved the story

I really enjoyed Damien and Carter's story, as well as the entire series, which I highly recommend. You should read these series in order. I was really looking forward to the last part and I think the author managed to conclude the different storylines perfectly.
Damien has a secret that has serious consequences and of course it comes to light. How will the pack members react? And does Damien even stand a chance with the pack facing so many threats?
I would have loved to give Damien a hug and tell him everything will be okay. My heart broke into a thousand pieces.
Carter is a great character who shows how he cares for Damien despite everything that has happened.
The story is entertaining, sexy, entertaining and exciting. I was happy to see the doc get his happy ending.
Kirt Graves did a great job! I loved his performance because he knows how to bring the story to life perfectly. He gave different voices to the different characters and he did a super job of protraiting the emotions. Very sad that this is the last volume of this great series.

Long time coming but so worth it

Story: The author sure kept us in the suspense! The wait was well worth it though, because what a conclusion this book is!
The story was tied together beautifully and the plot between Carter and Damien was a sweet cherry on the cake! Loved everything about this book and the entire series!
Narration: Great performance and voice acting. Easy to follow even with multiple characters in the scenes.

Epic finale for the series

I've loved the Kincaid pack since the very beginning, each book - and pairing - stands by themselves but there's an overarching plot developing that weaves through all of them, and this finale weaves so many lovely elements and familiar faces from the previous books into a story that still completely stands by itself. You definitely need to have read the previous books in the series to get the most out of it, but the good news is they're all a delight, so this isn't a hardship! The narration is super, well paced and in a lovely soft southern accent that morphs seamlessly between the main characters both male and female.
