it was alot different than I thought. it should of been titled a day or life of a nurse with a little romance added.but regardless it was a feel good story

This was very relatable as a nurse, but I'm not sure how anyone not in any way associated with the medical field will feel about it. The story was eh, it was mostly like a reporting of the main character's days and experiences, rather than a story. I didn't hate it, but I also don't think I would read another in the series, because I read for mental entertainment. I applaud anyone who can write and finish a book, and it was not bad. I know this isn't a glowing review, but I try to be as honest as I can be, while still being respectful of the author's efforts.

Relatable for nurses

While this book felt like someone was reading from a journal, instead of having us be a fly on the wall during the events, I do find myself drawn to stories regarding personal growth. I liked the story well enough to wish I could've experienced the events through page instead of informed about them. This is the second book, by this author, I have listened to, and I still stand by my first assessment of them. The author shows a lot of potential for future books, and I look forward to reading them.

Heartwarming. Real to life. Nursing at it's best and at it's worst. The importance of love. End of life issues. End of life comforts. This book is very slow, but very emotional and entertaining.
I listened to an Audible version of this book. The narrator did a wonderful job of relaying this story. It was a little easier because the story is told by nurse Ellie. So not too many other voices were required.

End of life comforts.

I loved this read. I wouldn't categorize this as a romance read but oh - this one pulled at my heart strings. Ellie is a great character, one written so that regardless of our lives we can all somehow relate to in some way - and that is a testament to what a great writer Spade is! The narration while good was stilted in places and could have been a bit smoother but still I enjoyed the tone she was able to give to Ellie. I loved the twists, mystery man was a great surprise I didn't see coming and I absolutely am in love with Archer who is beyond trusting, understanding and loving! I love the names that Ellie has for her patients and loved each of their stories...a wonderful read that I guarantee will pull at anyone's heart!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
