the only thing disappointing was that it ended too quickly. I can't believe Cardin! having to wait for the next book is torture.

Improvement

Enjoyed this book far more than the first since Taryn was barely in it at all along with the other characters i dislike. Was really hoping that Roiben was going to vie for the throne but hey maybe ill get my wish next book. Unlikely though as the title is already announced.

Book 1 kinda slow...Book 2 WOW!

This book is similar to the first in that it is broken up into 2 parts, or books. The first part was slow, almost too slow to enjoy the story. It became a bit difficult to even work through it at times honestly. But the second book was absolutely fantastic and worth getting through book one. The ending had quite the cliffhanger and I honestly didn't see it coming which is rare. Caitlin Kelly did a fantastic job with voice acting and I never became confused by which character was speaking, something that I've had issues with other readers in the past. Stick through the first book because the second was worth it. Better yet, reserve a credit because you are going to want to buy the 3rd book after reading the last chapter!

Again, I rarely give 5 star reviews, but this sequel did not disappoint! It was just as good as the first book!

That ending 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The best books are the ones that get your emotions pumping and this girl Holly Black knows exactly how to do that. Can't wait for next book in this series 😍

This book was better than the first one although I know this book is more from Judes POV I want more of Carden
