History does not have to repeat itself.

This book broke my heart. The story of the Colonel and Ada Mae was heartbreaking and eye opening. The history lesson was fantastic and enlightening. The characters were vivid and the brought to live very well by the actor. For one person to voice so many and so well was great. Tessa needed to be b**ch slapped more than once. So looking forward to the next book.

Very interesting romance story I like how the hero faced the truth about himself and his producer Tess
And how the heroine stood up for herself and how sometimes the past determines our future .very good book.

True Love

I enjoyed this book because it has a modern small town vibe, yet deals with repercussions from the Civil War. I learned history and perspective from the main characters as they restored the plantation mansion. Also the close-knit community was endearing. Narration was stellar.
