excellent

loved the story the reader is pleasant and I couldn't wait to start the 2nd book I the series. I am invested in these characters

Great read

Full of twists, drama and romance. Enjoyed the narration! Highly recommend read for book clubs.

I Liked it!

I enjoy reading a book that is focused toward readers over the sixth grade level. I liked the characters, I liked the story, and I enjoyed the way the authors brain worked and putting the story together.

Wow there are a few things that I would have changed – and those are the spots where I yelled at somebody - I still enjoyed the story. As an older black woman who spent time in the south, I could definitely relate.

And, of course, there’s the narration. I thought the narrator did an excellent job, even if some of the characters sounded kinda the same. It didn’t matter. She made the story easy to follow. I hope the author writes some more stuff. I really like her style.

Great

I really liked this book and would recommend it. It had a great storyline. Wish it gave a little more in the bedroom. Wanted more insight with on of the Jules and Uncle Robert. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. Oh, how her parents didn't come to her wedding. I'd the ghost was her granny why did Dex know her?

Sweet story

I had a hard time with the accents and getting through Chapter 1 but I am so had I stuck with it. The love story blooms amid sad racial tensions in a small southern town.

A very sweet story

The book was very sweet and shows how secrets destroys families and towns alike. How many towns people shares a common ancestor, which can divide a community. I like how Callie was able to concur her fears, and forgive bringing love and respect to her. I highly recommend the whole heart of Colton to lovers of racial romance.

Love, drama, forgiveness

Sometimes it takes a lot of forgiveness to find and hold love. Callie was certainly more forgiving than I could have been in her shoes. Still, her love did man up and hopefully remained the husband she deserved.

Forgiveness

I loved the them of love and forgiveness of deep hurt. The story showed that it is possible if all parties are willing to forgive.

Such a cute book! I love how they didn’t allow the ugly past to dictate their future!

Wasn't sure at first

This was a new kind of listen for me. Author doesn't a great job of helping you feel and know the characters emotions. Very good read on the the second book.
