None this was inspiring and made me feel good about my time in the Navy and in Vietnam.

Informative Book

The book goes through so much detail that a person who was not in the military would not really know without listening to this book. It is very eye opening and concerning that our military is not ready to protect our country.

Return of bad leadership

I served my nation for 31 years eight months and 13 days +15 minutes to fill the per diem out. I joined in 1977 thinking there wouldn’t be too many wars after Vietnam, boy was I wrong! Drugs, alcoholism, and racism was seen to be a hangover from the draftee era to us in the all volunteer force which is turned out to be pretty professional. But it took the massive failure of the Grenada invasion including the timidity of the 82nd airborne, to get rid of the politically correct generals. There was still enough combat vets from Korea to learn us our trade in warfare ! I helped pass that on in the 80s and 90s and early 2000s snafus and fubar plus a hefty dose of BOHICA not with standing, we were the 800 pound gorilla! I had a run-in with individuals playing the black race card on me. In the military, I lost my instructor slot in the civilian world. I lost my job. I got it back and became a SIM check airman. There was smoke, but it wasn’t a dumpster fire like it is today.  it’s still remains to see if the times make the man or the man makes the times ,for the United States of America will endure as a republic. I loved your book.  I just hope when Charlie Brown decides to kick that nuclear football there’s someone who like Lucy takes it away from him like in the peanuts comic. ;)

From the first word to the last word, in this book, Pete speaks truth. It is packed full of useful information, but written in a way that makes it's comprehension easy. I highly recommend this book!
