Publisher's Summary

In The Tale of the Vampire Bride, Lady Glynis suffered great horrors at the hands of her evil vampire master, Count Vlad Dracula, and vowed she would one day escape him.

In The Vengeance of the Vampire Bride, Glynis learns to embrace the title of Countess Dracula as she sets into motion her plans to seek revenge on those who betrayed Glynis and her family to Dracula and to reunite with the man she loves.

Despite her ambitions, it soon becomes quite apparent that her life continues to be overshadowed by the ominous presence of Vlad Dracula.

Set in the 1820s against the lush gothic backdrop of Buda, Hungary, the tale of one vampire bride’s quest for love, revenge, and the right to determine her own way in life is a sweeping saga that will enthrall any listener who loves the beautiful, deadly vampires of old.

The narrator is a screamer

While the story was great the narrator literally screamed read the book. Her voice was very grating. I hope they change her for book 3.

Entertaining second book....

i have been a fan for many years of Frater. this book did not disappoint!
Following the aftermath of Lady Glynis' marriage to Dracula and new vampire life, we are thrust head first into action, drama, and bloody murder! While I personally wished for a bigger ending, I am in love with the characters. I hold my breath for their happy ending always knowing that you can't always have happy (or ending, for that matter,) when vampires are involved! The narrator did a decent job, though I am partial to the first in book 1. I did read these books one after the other so It was very easy to compare.
Overall I was pleased and recommend this book, only after reading the first, The Tale of the Vampire Bride.

Story is good, but the Narrator

The story is OK but the narrator sounds like she talks through her nose. It is a bit grating.

Well done, and no, the narrator is not a Screamer

I thoroughly enjoyed this audio-book, and despite the misplaced criticism of some listeners towards it narrator, I cannot imagine anyone else breathing life into the tale. As for the world of Countess Dracula itself, the author has created a complex and believable universe that brings new depth to the vampire mythos. I will definitely continue with this series with Ms. McKernan serving as my guide.

True Old Fashioned Gothic Dracula

Great continuation of story. Love the characters and the settings. No dull moments! Reminds me so much of the old Christopher Lee Dracula movies! I recommend this book to all vampire fans!

Wow!!!

The storyline is greatly written. The characters you love and hate. You’re kept on edge with this one thinking will he come again already? I didn’t expect the ending but a cliffhanger is what you are left with. I can’t wait for the next audiobook to be available. Definitely a must get!!!

Great story - awful narration

I love Rhiannon’s work. I especially like her Zombie fiction.
I’m sure I would have loved reading this book - however the narration was awful.
I kept checking to see if I’d accidentally put it on fast speed! The narrator seemed be shouting the story at a fast rate.
I felt it was a trial to get through and was almost relieved to finish it. Which is really sad as Rhiannon’s work is fabulous and this certainly does not do her justice as an author.

Narrator spoiled it

I really enjoyed the first book. I would have enjoyed this one far more if it had had a decent narrator!
