The Omega Covid variant hits the world, and it's different. It kills the unvaccinated but the dead don't stay dead. When the dead rise they have one aim and that is to kill the uninfected to spread the plague. But there is something ominous behind the variant, it has been designed, it has a purpose.

Carl, a self declared middle aged loser, finds himself having to learn the art of survival in a real life zombie apocalypse, where the dead are just part of the problem. A new world order is trying to assert itself; they engineered the Omega variant, which is just the beginning of their plans.

The only thing that threw it off a bit was the virtual voice. Definitely worth the listen though’

This debut entry offers a compelling start to what promises to be an engaging zombie apocalypse series. While the storyline follows familiar conventions of the genre, the author skillfully introduces a cast of interesting and well-developed characters—most notably Carl, the main character, whose resilience and growth quickly earn the reader’s support.

The pacing is effective, balancing suspense and character development in a way that keeps the narrative moving while allowing space for emotional investment. The author cleverly plants narrative breadcrumbs throughout, building anticipation and intrigue. By the time the story reaches its thrilling cliffhanger, readers are left eager for the next installment.

Overall, this is a strong introduction to a world with plenty of potential for a full series. I look forward to seeing where the story goes next.

I don't mind the AI voice. But it could've been next level with a real voice actor. I will definitely listen to it again. And it is free so why not!

Overall it was a good listen.
