Heiser provide so much insight

I'm a pastor, author, and an avid reader but it's rare that I would consider reading a book twice after having processed it. This is a book that I will absolutely listen to again. I would recommend that you get either a printed or kindlel copy of this book as well because there's a lot of things ayou re going to want to take note of if you are listening.(keep your highlight already)

Don’t Read Only Once

This book has opened up Holy Scripture for me like shining a bright light in a dark room. I thought I knew how to feel my way along in the dark. I was wrong. I’ve read my Bible probably fifty times as it is my joy. Now I’m reading again ‘for the first time’ after reading this book several times. I wish I could have thanked Dr. Heiser before he died for this blessing.

Absolutely life changing!

I have never read the entire Bible from cover to cover. I've always done studies of the stories, principles, etc. Now I can't wait to read it straight through and use this view as the lens. Dr Heiser's writing and delivery to the everyday person is just what every Christian needs. He also reaches the "critical thinkers" and people whom have simply stopped going to church or talking to God due to lack of information and or tired of cookie cutter sermons on information and perspective that are largely regurgitated again and again. EVERY PASTOR needs to read this book :)

need to re listen 3 times i guess

it was informational ocerload that i feel i need to revisit. at times chapters seemed disconnected more than i could follow. still amazing book, just more challenging to listen to. it almost requires full attention, dont count on this to be you daily commute listen.

Something to think about

It is hard to follow and steady unless you are truly looking for knowledge but it has great information and is a wonderful book if you are looking for a deeper relationship with God

Brave honesty

This book does not tarry with preferential theologies, but allows scripture and the world view of the writers to define truth.

Awesome!

This book has been hugely enlightening to me! As a Bible investigator and teacher myself, I have often wondered about many of the scriptures that this author talks about, concluding that Christian tradition is in some cases very, very different from what the Bible teaches! Michael Heiser boldly addresses many of these differences in this book, and unlike others who try to do the same, he actually sounds like he knows perfectly well what he's talking about! What's more, he weaves his Biblical knowledge into a big picture of God's Master plan for humankind in a way that I have never seen it done before! A truly monumental work. My only wish now, is that his book would be translated into SPANISH! The Spanish speaking Christian world needs this book!

Earthshaking

As someone with 15+ cover to cover bible read throughs, an MDiv and a lot of study, this book is a crucial read for any bible scholar, even if you disagree with many of his premises.

READ THIS NOW

If you are a Christian, read this book right away. It should be required of every serious Christian or Catholic. IF YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN, you still should read this book. It is extremely UNBIASED, and very scholarly. If you like history, especially ancient and biblical history this is an amazing chance to understand the mindset and culture of ancient people, especially of the ones that wrote the Bible, and their surrounding territories.
