Baudin can do little to help him, and struggles to keep his partner on the straight path while pursuing the man he holds responsible for the darkness enveloping his city: the district attorney, Mike Sandoval.
Baudin's pursuit of Sandoval must be put on hold after the detectives are assigned the murder case. Unwilling to leave Sandoval behind, Baudin resists getting involved with the murders until he discovers a link between the deaths of the two women and Sandoval.
Hunting a man that views victims as little more than meat, the two detectives begin their descent into a world they may never come out of. Unable to trust anyone else, they must learn to trust each other, or be destroyed by the forces aligned against them.

To me, it's not as good as the prior book, but still kept me up until I finished it in one sitting/listen.
Awaiting the finally book in the series. A real cliffhanger. Very accurate on human emotions.

Great read for a Book II of a Trilogy
Book 2 did not disappoint. I setup to follow right after Book I and the continuation of the story was great. Now my problem is waiting for Book III!

Great Sale Purchase
This was a great series to buy during the Audible sale—$3-$4 per book. Totally worth it. I would hold out for sale instead of burning a credit, so keep them on your wish list!
Too bad the third part of the trilogy is not available right now tho.

I couldn’t stop listening. So intense. Wow! Just wow!! Ready for book 3. Hopefully this isn’t based on real life. If so can I find a Detective Boden.
