Three signs that something is very different with your mew man:

1. He sleeps all day . . . which would be annoying except he's so attentive at night.

2. He's attacked by sword-wielding assailants, yet insists he can handle it on his own.

3. He never seems to age.

Heather Westfield has always lived a quiet life, but that all changes when she helps a very handsome, very mysterious stranger. There's something not quite right about Jean-Luc, but still, she's never been with a man so charming, so attractive . . . so wonderful. Now if only a murderous villain wasn't after them, they might get their happily-ever-after.

What did you love best about The Undead Next Door?

I love the characters and how they play off each other. How they bring out a rich and exciting story, keeping your interest and wanting to know more about them.

What did you like best about this story?

The Love At Stake series is great. The characters, the emotions they show, the fascinating story all pull you into their lives and make you care and want to know more about them. Plus you get to hear more about the others that continues to fill in their characters, making them more real and intersting.

Would you be willing to try another one of Deanna Hurst’s performances?

Yes as I enjoyed the way each characters was just enough different that I had no problem keeping them separated and knowing who was speaking at any given time. The characters voices were each separate and distinct.

Any additional comments?

I'm looking forward to getting the rest of this series in audible format.

The narrator had trouble with some accents. Couple of glitch with the sounds, too. voice would go up and down. But I do love this series and will continue to get more of the books, just hope the narrators get better as we go along.

Love the story / Narrator so-so!

Where does The Undead Next Door rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

That depends on the rating system and the types of books. You can't rank them in the same league as the BDB JR Ward series, L Adrian's Breed series or even Larissa Ione's demonic series. While I absolutely love those books, this is a little lighter. With an interesting yet predicable storyline. I find this series entertaining and relaxing. Not quite as humorous as Lynsay Sands A-Vampire series but a close second.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the way Deanna read the store. I almost didn't pick this as listen because everyone seemed to trash the performance. But I felt the performance fit the story. Of course the French accents were over the top but this is not like we should expect the Les Miserable performance.

Which scene was your favorite?

I think when the ex was scrabbling around thinking he was a cock roach

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Paris to Texas and back again

Any additional comments?

If you want an enjoyable listen go for it.

A story performed well

I found this book a really fun read! Liked the story line and love the characters!
The one thing about the book is the title! Just don't understand why it has the title! The Vamp doesn't live next door!
I am also glad to see that the writer and the editor use correct grammar! Reading is the best way to learn the English language! Correct grammar should be requirement. For writers and editors?
I really think you will enjoy this book,

Great fun!
