Great book for my new garden

Over the years I've only gardened sporadically, dipping my tow into doing organic gardening. But this book breaks it down easily and clearly enough for me to make it successful. I appreciated the pros and cons and all of the great information in one easy book. Highly recommended.

A reliable green thumb companion

It doesn't matter how much experience you have with gardening to get a lot out of this audiobook, maybe the less the better actually because he goes through just about everything you need to know to get started with your new garden and to continually produce the best food possible. Everything you could ever want to know about your project is gone over in great detail, from which materials to use, to which soils to use, to which weed control to use, to how best to cultivate your new harvest with some serious guidance and myth busting along the way.

This book is a great resource if you want to get a plant bed going or if you have one and just want some new ideas on how to get the best results. The instructions here are clear and comprehensive, so it's hard to go wrong. My suggestion is to listen to this once all the way through, then go back to relevant sections as you develop your private little victory garden. Really good stuff!

Wonderful guide for beginners

This was a comprehensive, clear, and informative guide for anyone who has not had the experience of learning to garden on their own. I appreciated the spectrum of information from the differences between raised bed and traditional gardening, to what to consider, plan, and implement when choosing to cultivate a raised bed garden. I'm a beginner gardener myself and have failed in many attempts at various vegetables, herbs, flowers, etc. After listening to this book, i now have a very good idea why I was unable unble to succeed and my garden didn't produce like I was hoping. Great tips & tricks

I moved to Idaho 2 years ago, and the house I bought had 4 raised-bed gardens. This book has been helpful in providing tips and tricks for my new hobby. The cold weather up here makes gardening difficult. But with raised-bed gardens, the growing season is slightly longer. I love the advice about growing what you love the most. Last year I planted lots of options - just trying to see what would grow here. But now I try to grow only what I want to actually eat.
