Among the array of characters in The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, one of the most intriguing is Boromir. Son of Denethor and heir to the Steward of Gondor, Boromir is present in only a small part of the trilogy. He first appears at the Council of Elrond, and dies before the end of Book One, The Fellowship of the Ring. Yet even though he is the only major character to die so early in the series, he plays an important role.

Lotr The Two Towers is great! It's just Amazon in their pride replacing the iconic original artwork on their store. Why is fake-Gilgalad from RoP the picture on the cover? Don't know. Is he actually in the book? He is like slightly mentioned in passing, maybe (I might be confusing this with the Appendices in RotK)

In short, don't buy this untill Amazon changes the cover art back. Is that petty? Yes, but so are they for changing it in the first place.

The performance is perfect. Rob Inglis perfectly brings you into middle earth and narrates J. R. R.Tolkien trilogy flawlessly. An adventure book that has no equal.

Having watched the movies before reading the books, I was surprised to find that the movie lengthens the Battle of Helms Deep, whereas the book only spends a chapter on it. A great book overall, just know that the book covers the whole second and first 1/3 of the third movie. I look forward to seeing what the third book covers that the movie doesn't.

Reading Tolkien on audiobook is less laborious than book form, and the reader is stellar!

This is about the 10th time I've read this series but the first time in audio. Although nothing beats reading an actual book, this was great.

It is one of the better ones. Not the best but very good.
