Publisher's summary

Find the balance between tough love and tender love. In The Two Sides of Love, best-selling authors John Trent and Gary Smalley explain how to find a healthy balance between the protective, consistent, "hard side" of love and the tender, understanding, "soft side" of love.

This is the groundbreaking book that introduced the four "animal" personality types (Lion, Otter, Golden Retriever, and Beaver) and it will show you how to best demonstrate both sides of love in all your relationships - with your spouse, children, and friends. Included in this thoroughly updated edition is a free assessment of your core personality type.

This updated edition is a helpful tool for personal growth, small group studies, and couples' classes.

I am a Lion hear me Meow

I am so glad I am learning this now , I am in my 40’s and plan on living to into my 120’s . It really helps me to understand how to tame my overwhelming lion and beaver tendencies. As a parent of 3 young kids I need all the help I can get, I am gaining some perspective on how to be a much better mom and wife!

Wow

I am a 65 year old who has strived to shed major emotional baggage through out my life. This book clearly defined my personalities as well as given me more skills to "step off the path"" of distructive unproductive behaviours. it's never to late to become all Christ wants us to be and experience the joy he wants us to have. Thank you both for this book.

Write A Book About Jungian Psychology…

without writing a book about Jungian psychology.

The opposites, archetypes, ego, persona and shadow are all Jungian concepts that would explain better and enhance the content of this book. The authors seem to be using Jungian concepts without knowing it. Pretty useful boon, though.
