Adding to the success of the original

I enjoyed the original Total Money Makeover book and a few of the subsequent books, namely Complete Guide to Money and Baby Step's Millionaire, so let me just say that this audiobook encapsulates the same message echoed in all of those books. That being said, there are some nice additions to this with mentions of recent events like Covid 19 and how events like these impacted various people working through the Baby steps. He also incorporates takeaways from these events into the various Myths surrounding building wealth. I really liked the examples of people going through the Baby steps and the Myths around money he provided because it humanizes the core message surrounding this book, which is that this is a proven guide to help everyday people get out of debt and win with money.

This is a necessary read. It completely changed my relationship with money. I don’t feel like a complete failure for once and I see a future for myself. Excitement and hope !

Relatable

This is the 3rd time I’ve listened or read this book. With exception of the mortgage we are debt free. IT WORKS! It is easy to slide backwards on budgeting that is one reason I revisit this book. I NEED THE REMINDER!

Amazing

I consider myself slightly above the average bear. By no means a genius. But when he started explaining about the financial systems. I was amazed by just how bad some are. Definitely something I wish I had paid more attention too when I was younger. There were several times I swear he was speaking directly to me! Also several times while listening and examining my life and habits(mostly bad) I started leaking.
I mean I could go on and on. But at the end of the day just get it and listen for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

Honestly works for me.

I've listened to this twice because it keeps me motivated. I agreed that this method works, you just have to put your head down and do it. He's not trying to sell some magic cure. He is telling you to work hard, pay attention, and have a plan. Anyone can do those things and this book makes for a great coach. I also tried the everydollar app and didn't really vibe with it, so I made my own spreadsheet in Excel. Budgeting is actually awesome.

Heading Dave read his writing and his rants is a great addition to the wonders in the book.
