Engaging reflection on the Lord's Prayer

The author presents her reflection on the Lord's Prayer in the context of her personal spiritual journey, as well as drawing on insight from the practice of Labyrinth prayer and a wide variety of works on Christian spirituality. While drawing on traditional sources, her personal insight and struggle adds depth to the work. While I've grown fond of her fiction, this book had me from the beginning. It also provides insight into the spirituality that she injects into her fictional works.

Better than The Secret

You cannot create miracles without the Creator! For the first time I truly understand the Lord's Prayer in my heart. Follow this practice to create a life of abundance by embracing the Love of our Creator through the teachings of Jesus.

Spiritual Growth booster!

While working the exercises would be easier from a hard copy of the book, I found it very beneficial to listen (several times) while driving or working around the house, even as I drift off to sleep. Narration by the author was authentic and enjoyable; the content was very thought provoking. I have enjoyed all her books, but this one is stellar for spiritual growth.

This book was awesome!

I love the way Kathleen McGowan uses stories, real life examples, and the text to share her experiences and interpretation of the words of Jesus. The daily exercises are enlightening and manageable. I have shared this with close friends and family on a similar path and hope you enjoy it too!

An answer to a long-term prayer about acupuncture

I have found major healing through yoga and energy based acupuncture that heals the affects of sin passed down through the mother (ancient paths). I have also studied theophostic and the miracle of listening, but I always knew there had to be a way that God provided for us to experience the gifts of the spirit and find answers to our purpose in God's kingdom. I believe this book shows how The Lord's Prayer can unify christians - and humanity - to find emotional, physical, and spiritual healing, as well as dialogue with those who believe differently by challenging them to seek their answers and expect a real/tangible response from our Creator!

Eye opener for sure

Even though technically fiction this book was a real eye opener for me. Loved this book and the other two in this series. Looking forward to more books by this author.

Interesting and Helpful

I enjoyed the exploration into the Lord's Prayer and the messages for life it contains. Kathleen McGowan is intelligent, interesting, and a good writer. We have slightly different theological outlook on a couple of small points, but this didn't diminish my enjoyment of the book at all. I suggest listening with your journal on hand - as there are exercises given in each section and you'll want to take notes.

I think of myself as spiritual more than religious and, to me, this seems self evidently true.
