Publisher's Summary

During the Salem Witch Trials over four hundred years ago, Ezekiel and Jeremiah Turner stumbled upon the knowledge needed to tap into unused parts of the human brain. What they discovered was the ability to telepathically call the soul of their destined soulmate, the one created for them.

Their family secret has been passed down from generation to generation. Jeffrey Turner, aka Rey, a direct descendant of Ezekiel Turner, found his soulmate only to push her away. At 19, a player, and not ready for his destined happily ever after, he threw away the best thing that ever happened to him, or so he thought.

The Soulmate Call

Book 1 in The Soulmate Call series - a great start to the series, following the story of Lisabeth and Rey. I don't think I've read a telepathy romance before, but I really enjoyed this one and how it all plays out. Has an interesting and intriguing storyline to hold your interest throughout. Looking forward to reading more in the series.

Rey and Lisabeth

Such a sweet fated mate story! This is the first fated mate story I've read that wasn't a shifter type story. They are humans whose souls recognize each other. While it does have steamy scenes, it is probably the sweetest sexy scenes I've ever read/heard! Can't wait to get farther into the series.

The narrator was amazing! Her voice is really soft and soothing, which how you expect from a sweet swoony romance.

Alot of unnecessary details.......

A sweet second chance story. This story was very different from what I expected but it was interesting. The story was sweet, but I felt it had a lot of unnecessary details. If you like a story with a lot of details in it this is a story for you. This was my first book by this author, but I would read her other books.

The Soulmate Call!

This is the first story in the series and can be read or listened to as a stand story. This one is about Lisabeth and Rey. When you find your soulmate you can hear the call. This is a telepathy story with telepathy forming between the two meant to be together. I like the story overall but the narrator was a little monotone. The story also seem to draw out or appear a little wordy and repetitive. Lisabeth and Rey meet and the attraction is instant as well as the love and connection. As the story develops there is some action, suspense, passion and some good twists. It is the first story I have read/listened to by this author.

Book 1 - Soulmate Call series

So, this is book 1 in Ann's Soulmate Call series and I thought it was a great introduction to the concept. I did however have a few issues...as this was told in a dual point of view - which I usually love, in this case, while I did still love the idea of getting the perspective from both our main characters - Rey and Lisabeth, there was a lot of un necessary repetition. Also, the narration really wasn't my favorite. More monotone and robotic at times - i think a dual narration would have really helped bring these characters to life. All that said, I loved the concept and these characters. Both had some pasts that came back to haunt their HEA but I loved their mutual respect for one another. A great read / listen and I'm looking forward to more!

not for me

This book feels like it's a Young Adult story.
I think the characters need therapy especially the girl. I think she was traumatized by something a friend said at the very beginning of the story. There were several red flags for their relationship.
The narrator was good.

Great

Loved the story of Rey and Lisbeth. A romantic quick pace book, and the 2 stories within a story also worked well. Really enjoyed.

Slow starter

Soulmates Call is the first in the series and concerns the story of Rey and Lisbeth and how they discover they are true soulmates. Along the way there are a few setbacks to their road to happiness, namely jealous exes, but they overcome these odds because of their unique connection.
The story line and plot are quite unique and the
sudio book is nicely narrated and easy to listen to if you can get past the hundreds of times the words soul and soulmate appears. For me it strated to grate, so much so, I had to take my time listening to it over a longer period than I would have liked.
As this was a new author for me I had no idea what to expect from the book, however somewhere along the line I had seen it advertised, or mentioning the Salem Witch trials and had hope for more of that history in the book , but alas none appeared. Hence my low rating but if you enjoy stories more constrained and ground in strict religious or moral beliefs then this is for you.

My sincere thanks to the author for the free audio version of this book which I received in return for my honest and unbiased review.

Soul

I loved the narration of Annalee Scott, just perfect for this book.

I loved the idea of being able to call for your true Soul Mate. You will find this book is full of romance
Lisabeth fell in love with Rey at first sight. Straight way they connect with each other in their heads and thoughts.

Beautifully written.
