A tragic loss. A broken pack. A lone wolf.

The pack war was drawing closer, and Ariane found herself at a crossroad amid the chaos that was her life.

Which road should she follow? One gave her a chance at normalcy, while the other threw her deeper into turmoil.

She had new powers, a shifter for a boyfriend, and blood on her hands. There was also the lone wolf who had been cast out and sought solace with Ari as he fought to return home.

This wasn't how she thought her life would play out. Nevertheless, a decision had to be made. And in the middle of it was Orion, wondering which road Ari would follow.

Contains mature themes.

The dry narrator can be a bit annoying. And sometimes I can’t stand Ari. I could list all the things that irritated me about her, but honestly, the story was more than enough to keep me interested despite her annoying me.

I love the fact that there was more story packed into this one. I'm still very glad that I read the series before I read the trilogy. Even though the trilogy should have been read first. I don't think I would have liked the characters I love half as much if I read it the proper way! That would have been sad!

The narration of the male voices made me laugh a little. They were all to husky

I had a feeling her parents knew. I thought they might be fae though.

As in the last book I didn’t care for the narration. She sounds like a robot. The story lagged a bit but I’m getting the next book and finishing the series. At times I found myself rolling my eyes at the main character.
