This box set contains Requiem of the Soul, Reparation of Sin, and Resurrection of the Heart and tells the complete story of Santiago De La Rosa and Ivy Moreno!
I was born with noble blood in my veins. Heir to a powerful dynasty. Wealth. Power. Aristocracy. Temptations too dangerous to resist. Until someone tried to steal it all. Scarred and broken, I emerged from the flames.
Now I’ve returned to take what’s mine. Revenge.
The first item on my agenda? Make Ivy Moreno my wife.
Second? Bend her until she breaks.

As to the story - in general it was good. However, there are more than a few scenes that represent physical and sexual violence, if not outward rape. One scene in particular is hard to unhear and it is an integral part of the first story without being revisited in some sort of apologetic epiphany. Had it been toned down the scene would have been far better, more effective and less like the glorification of sexual violence.
It’s hard to not feel like the female protagonist is simply being bullied into falling for a violent rapist. And while he’s supposed to be depicted as a monster - those lines are far too uncomfortably blurred. Any reader will likely know the scene reference.
The third story in the trilogy is the best of the three. When taken together, however, it’s difficult to understand how this tale is not simply violence.
Darker and dark -.maybe too much so

#2 - I'm left with more questions than answers, now about Ivy's sketchy brother, Santiago's past with Ivy's father, and Judge's pull on Mercedes 🤔🤨 So far, this is an incredibly slow burn between Ivy and Santiago with a lot of legit hate and lust.
#3 - Everything comes to a scary head in this and character development goes into overdrive, but it's all believable. You can't experience something like that without it changing you. This was a great listen ❤️
It only gets better

Reparation of Sin (book 2) Oh man, things are starting to come together! As much as he it still being a douche to Ivy, I love that Santi is starting to put things together. I have to admit that there were times during this book, that I wasn't entirely sure that I knew what was going on, which is just a testament to the great writing, because I had been certain I had it all figured out. We are left with another cliffy, and I'm anxious to find out how things end.
Resurrection of the Heart (book 3) A solid conclusion! I did get a little bored during the last bit of the book, but that is mostly because I'm not a fan of that kind of plotline, but at least it was done in a way that was different than I usually see it done. I like how things ended up, and am surprised that I find myself interested in Judge and Mercedes, because I HATED her throughout this series.
Each book rated with 4 stars!
