Publisher's Summary

I don’t deserve her forgiveness, but I can’t stop fighting for it.

Bay ran from me four years ago, and I can’t blame her. I broke her heart and my own with one split second mistake. Now, we’re thrown together for four weeks. Training camp after the draft is the final step to cement my pro football careers, but after seeing her again, she’s the only future I want.

If I were a better guy, I’d walk away and let her live her life. Maybe I haven’t learned my lesson yet because I can’t stop thinking about her. And I won’t stop until she knows how much I still love her.

The sins of my past are hard to run from, but I’ll battle every single one, if it means one more chance with her.

The Sin of Kissing You is the second book in the new Fulton U universe sports romance, Falling trilogy.

Frustrated

I was excited to dive back into the tumultuous world of FU, but the selfishness of Bae genuinely disgusted me. I understand that the way she goes about everything is reactive to what Dare did in the first book. That doesn't really excuse her behavior in my eyes. It also doesn't help that Dare is willing to do anything for Bae. literally anything. I just wish Bae was more likable and deserving of his attention. The past F leads in the earlier series were much more digestible. I hope Bae has some redeemable qualities in book 3 cause she's seriously annoying and ungrateful. I'm not really shocked people didn't really like or think to include her in things.

Loving this story so much!

I recently had the opportunity to listen to The Sin of Kissing You by Maya Hughes and narrated by Tim Paige and Emma Wilder and I loved it. This continues Dare and Bay’s story and you need to prepare yourself. Their journey is angst-filled and emotional and I devoured it. I could not stop listening, even as my heart broke for them. We pick up where we left off in the previous book, that must be read and/or listened too before this one, and hit the road running. Old hurts are definitely still there, but so are the feelings. Can they find a way to move forward?

Bay is obviously heartbroken and not happy to see Dare. Though I was not always happy with her actions, I could understand them. I love Dare so much, but a lot of that has to do with Keyton. I feel like I know him already and we definitely get to know him a whole lot better in this book. Their chemistry is still steamy but so many obstacles stand in their way. Their story continued to captivate me and I highly recommend it!

Happy listening!

Epic!

This is by far one of my fave books in this trilogy as we get to see them older and where their life has taken them! I also love the push and pull between the characters!

Emma and Tim did a great job with this narration it is a very emotional book and you can really tell when they are narrating how much they put into the characters! If you are looking for a series to start this is the one you should go to. It has everything you need in an amazing trilogy!

A fabulous second book in the trilogy

TSOKY picks up where the story left off. Four years later Dare and Bay run into each other again and Dare does a lot of begging and pleading. I was and am still kind of annoyed with how selfish Bay is in this book. I understand that he scared her but he does everything he can to show her that he is sorry and isn’t that person.
There is so much heart ache and angst in this book. You really get to see who Dare is in this book. He is broken and has been keeping a lot about himself under lock and key. My heart truly broke for him. He has always been a bit mysterious and I couldn’t wait to get his story, now I just hope Ms. Hughes gives him the happy ending he truly deserves. The cliff hanger is. . . I have no words. I can’t wait for the final book in the trilogy.

The narrators, once again, did a fabulous job of bringing the characters to life. Every emotion was conveyed beautifully and has me enraptured. Fantastically narrated.

I received an a copy of this audible book in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

4 Stars!

Having picked up the Falling Trilogy when it released this year I've been wanting to get back into it through the audiobooks! After finishing listening to The Art of Falling For You I couldn't wait to dive into this second audiobook of this trilogy! I enjoyed this second installment so much!

Tim Paige and Emma Wilder are back! I was so excited to listen to both of their narration once again! They were both great again as Dare and Bay! Both of them brought things i really enjoyed to this story with their narration!

Dare and Bay's journey continues! Once again these two had me going through all kinds of emotions throughout listening! I really liked getting to see how things would go this time around.

With The Sin of Kissing You, Ms.Hughes has created such a good continuation that will make you feel so much! I can't wait to listen to more of both Tim and Emma's narration! I am so looking forward to listening to the third installment, The Hate of Loving You!

Falling Trilogy!

The Sin of Kissing You (Falling Trilogy, Book 2) is so so good. Bay and Keaton (Dare) are amazing characters and their lovestory breaks your heart into miniscule pieces. The writing style is captivating, supporting character's are well blended into the story. Crumbles of highly anticipated moments in the last few chapters leaving you craving what's next. I cannot wait to listen to the final audio in this trilogy.

Tim Paige, Emma Wilder dual narration is pure perfection ability to arrange deep full emotions of Bay and Keaton. Emma Wilder's performance of Bay was one of my favorites. Emma's inflection is sweetly appealing and I love listening to her perform.

So raw and beautiful!

It doesn’t hurt any less listening to this audio over the book. Like knock me down and tear my heart out more of an experience. Such a beautiful story that sucks you in and picks up from where book 1 ends. I just can’t with Bay and Dare… like I love them so much. I can’t wait for the final audiobook. They need to get to that happy place full of sunshine and rainbows. No more heartbreak 😩

A Heartbreaking whirlwind of emotions

After getting a glimpse into Bay and Dare's past in TAOFFY, I thought I was now all caught up and so ready for their present and second chance to start. I was not ready.

The Sin of Kissing You broke my heart into a million jagged pieces, and like Bay's guitar, it seems unfixable. The emotions in this story are so raw and real. Filled with so much pain, longing and love, TSOKY had me so deep in my feels, so anxious when things started to unravel, so completely immersed in the story I just couldn't stop listening. It had me on a whirlwind, rollercoaster of emotions, feeling every high and every low, and I just can't wait for the culmination of this amazing story.

As with the first audiobook, the narration is EVERYTHING..
Tim Paige and Emma Wilder perfectly capture Bay and Dare's spirit, bringing them to life, and managing to project the full range of emotions this story runs through. The chemistry between the narrators is explosive and with such complicated feeling it shines through brightly.

a great read from Maya Hughes!

An incredible continuation of Bay and Keyton's story! I loved getting to hear the narrators bring the characters to life.

I wasn't sure where Maya Hughes would take these characters after the events at the end of The Art of Falling for You. We had a small hint of what's to come, but the entire story was an emotional ride.

Bay is applying for jobs and working in the residence hall where Keyton is staying during his football camp for the LA Lions. The tension between them and Bay's anger are still strong as they were four years ago when they last saw each other. I thought their relationship development was handled well. I could see how they progressed from the low they started at to finding something more together.

What they continue to go through our me on an emotional rollercoaster. For every high and success they experienced there was a low or frustrating moment. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what would happen, knowing there's still one more book to go. My heart broke as I read the last few chapters, and I cannot wait to find out how Bay and Keyton will finally get their happily ever after.

Maya Hughes has become one of my favorite authors over the past few years. Her writing style and the characters and stories she creates are an unbeatable combo. I highly recommend this trilogy and her other series!

Keyton and Bay!

It’s been four years since the event that ended Keyton and Bay’s relationship and changed the course of their lives. Keyton’s future is bright as he has finished college and is preparing to start his professional football career when Bay comes back into his life. From the moment he sees her again all the feelings come rushing back like a tsunami and although his past is still a complication, he can’t imagine a future without Bay in it.

When her relationship ended with Keyton Bay had no choice but to forge a future for herself. She has now finished college and is no longer the girl that he used to know. She is already conflicted about her future so having him reappear in her life becomes another challenge she must face. Her feelings for him still run deep but trust is an issue both when it comes to him and herself.

The chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever but both Bay and Keyton are at a crossroads personally and professionally. The characters draw you in and the plot keeps you guessing and leaves you wanting the conclusion of Bay and Keaton’s story. Both narrators did a wonderful job of ensuring that you could feel all the same emotions and angst that Keyton and Bay were feeling.

Even better in audio

I read and adored this book before trying the audiobook and even though I wasn’t sure it was possible, I enjoyed the story even more in audio.

To get the important details out the way first, this is not a standalone novel. It’s the middle story in a trilogy chronicling Bay and Dare’s romance / love story. If you haven’t read the first in the trilogy, The Art of Falling for You, you will not understand what’s going on in this story. And this story does not end with a HEA. That will come in the third and final book of the set, The Hate of Loving You.

In this book, Tim Paige and Emma Wilder reprise their roles of Dare and Bay that they took on in the first book in the series, The Art of Falling For You. As with the first book, they both excel at the voices and really give life to our star-crossed lovers.

I loved Bay and really felt for her in this story. She was cute, feisty and determined but very real with her emotions. She made the realisation that she was being selfish and was honest about how she couldn’t stop her feelings for Dare - and how their relationship ultimately wasn’t healthy. It might not have been evident from the start, but when Bay started allowing her feelings to resurface, it was clear that she adored Dare with everything she had and it made my heart fit to burst.

Emma Wilder has a raspy quality to her voice that was perfect for Bay’s songstress vibe. Further more, she really brought the emotion to this performance. I found myself really feeling every little thing that Bay did and when the ending came, I was crying like a baby. It was awesome.

What I liked about this story was how we get to watch Bay and Dare grow both as people and as a couple. Dare especially learns a lot about himself and he wore his feelings for Bay on his sleeve. My own heart broke for him as much as his beat for Bay. He was so desperate to right his wrongs - and took Bay’s previous parting words that he would never be loveable, to heart. He was trying so hard to be a better man but it was so obvious to us - and Bay - that he still had so many issues. I wanted to scream at him to stop his destructive behaviour but I also wanted him to learn. Gah!

Tim Paige as Dare was excellent. He’s got a manly voice but still quite youthful. I believed him 100%. He was very emotive and also did an excellent job of portraying the female voice of Bay during conversations that sounded realistic and didn’t pull you out of the story. He even managed to differentiate between different females and kept those voices consistent throughout the narration. Extra points for that.

Despite the fact we know it’s not going to end well just yet - Dare and Bay were so obviously perfect for each other. They just worked. Both were able to just be themselves around the other and I loved that the spark hadn’t died after 4 years of being apart. I still laughed with them and cried with them and screamed at them to get their stuff together and figure things out. Frankly, even when they were being idiots, I still love the pair.

Even knowing the outcome of this story - and the whole trilogy - I was surprised to still feel the delicious angst that is synonymous with Maya Hughes’ writing. She still managed to suck me in and mess with my head and emotions so much that I had to pull back every once in a while and remind myself it will all work out okay.

I love the way that listening to an audiobook having read the ebook previously, you pick up on so much more detail and really get the emotion from the characters that the author likely intended. I find myself falling in love with these characters as the themselves fall in love. Sadly, that also means that when they break, I break too. I can’t wait to listen to the final book in this trilogy but on its own this truly is 5 star audio romance.

Protect them

You simply HAVE to have read The Art Of Falling For You before you read this. Now with that being said this picks up roughly 4 years after the events of TAoFfY and we are back at the awkward reunion stage. (You'll understand what that means if you've read book 1) I am not okay after reading this. I had a feeling this would be an emotional rollercoaster and that was an understatement in the extreme. Are the characters perfect in this? No. There's a lot of emotion on both sides for a variety of reasons but I TRULY hope that book 3 returns me to the state of my adoration for Dare and Bay both. I volunteered to listen and review a complimentary copy of this and all opinions are my own.
