Great Book

This book was great. The storyline was compelling and the end well thought out.
Learned so much about the deaf community that really added to the story.

Um why would we want to hear a deaf person read?? It was hard to understand

The parts that were read by a deaf person were hard to understand. If we read the book it wouldn’t have been read by a dead person... I had to slow down the reading so i could understand those parts.

Book was ok..ending was anticlimactic in my opinion.

Don't write it off too soon.

Great story!well written! It is a little hard to understand in the portions read from character point of view so it may be helpful to have a written version to make sure you get all of the info. The other reader lacked some expression in the beginning but it got better throughout. I would definitely listen to the next book in the series

THE SILENT HOUSE

HOW CAN THE AUTHER EXPECT TO WRITE AN AUDIBLE BOOK WITH WHOLE CHAPTERS READ BY A DEAF PERSON? THESE CHAPTERS ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO INTERPRET BECAUSE YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND THEM.

Unintelligible

I heard about this book through a friend. I am visually impaired and rely on audiobooks to keep up with the amount of reading I enjoy. I was pleased to find this book on audible as my local library had only the printed version. I was SHOCKED at the audio narration. I understand the desire to include a deaf actor but I absolutely cannot understand it. Every other chapter is narrated by a deaf person and I had to give up shortly after starting the book. I don't want to be insensitive but it was not a wise choice for a narrator.

PS I went to listen to the SAMPLE to see if they had the hearing impaired narrator as the Sample and they do not. Buyer Beware, you may not have a hard time but I did.
