Loved the book. Love the series. I need the rest of this series recorded so I can finish and then move on to the other related series!

Fantastic piece in the series.

I’m not in love with the narrator. While she seems to be better than in the first book, I find her voice and attempts at other voices grating.

The Sun Sword Series

I listened to all three books. The story was fun and gripping. I loved all of the books, but was a little disappointed with the final two chapters of the third and final book. The series developed fabulous and deep characters over great lengths of time, and then I feel too many shortcuts and simplistic parallel storylines were artificially wrapped up in an anticlimactic manner. I still loved the books, but wish the ending(s) lived up to the great quality of 90+ chapters in this trilogy.

You have to start with the House War series, or you will be lost.

Love this series. Michelle brings an amazing world to life with the characters and all the details.

Where are the next three books?!?!

Michelle West is a phenomenal talent, as is Eva Wilhelm. Why on earth would a publisher only record the first three audio books in a six book series? It’s confounding and maddening.

Be prepared for useless dialogue

Overall the story was good but the author likes to ramble on with useless thoughts that add nothing to the story.

So many characters

The book seem to drag for the first half. I think this dragging is caused by the many, many characters the author introduces us to. I frankly couldn't decide what is main and secondary characters and of the main characters I found little to care about them.

The author tried to be mysterious and avoid saying as much as possible while filling her word requirement, this unfortunately left the narrative crawling and muddle because the author seems to forget when a scene is occurring and tends to skips between time periods within a single scene. The author seems to favour purple prose that doesn't move the story forward but only spins in it a circle.
