Great beginning

Great beginning to a new mpreg shifter series. It’s the first one that I’ve read to feature Selkies. The way they shift was interesting to me, and nothing like I’ve read before. The plot is the typical royal prince must beget an heir, and omegas have basically no rights, and the King is a royal douche canoe plot. And it’s done very well, so I’m happy because I love that trope. I love that love trumps all the royal b.s. and that the new generation will forge new paths. The setup for the rest of the series is well done and very intriguing. I loved the two main characters, their connection, and the fact that they aren’t your typical perfect characters. Kai has some of his father’s traits (he can be a jerk) and Luca was not your typical chaste omega. He’s quirky and fun, but you can get a sense of his underlying vulnerability.
The narration by John Solo was as outstanding as ever. I love his voice especially when he is acting the part of the omega type roles. They just suit him very well. I get so lost in his narration because he IS the characters. I can really get a mental picture of his characters as I am listening because he brings them to life. I am very definitely looking forward to reading and listening to the rest of the series, and I definitely recommend this new adventure.

Awesome Book

I absolutely loved this book! I loved the story between Kai and Luca! The love between the two was obvious throughout the book. Finding their way together in the face of the deadline the king put on them. The bond becoming stronger between the brothers. The narrartor John Solo was great! JJ Masters wrote a great book!

Pretty Darn Good!

So just to start off I am new to the MM Preg stories. I stumbled upon this genre by accident and I am so happy that I did. I read all the Selkie Prince books that are released and truly enjoyed this audio version even the "slick & knotty" times! The narrator was perfect with the tones of his voice. I would suggest this audio as well as the books. Thank you for the credit of this audio.

less empahsis on Anal leakage would be nice

interesting concept. but the main focus is on sex and not romance or any kind of plot.

there was a constant empasis about anal leakage aka slick. This is more of a transgendered story than a gay story because the author basically turned one of the men into a woman.

What will happen when Prince Kai’s fated mate is found but the King is still not satisfied? Can Kai and his omega find a way to please the King and conceive an heir before their time is up?

Prince Kai and Luca may have been thrown together but as they work through everything their bond begins to grow and deepen. I enjoyed the development of their relationship and seeing the emotions grow between the two. Both men are great characters. It was nice to see Kai grow to understand that he can sometimes be more like the King at times than he realized and made amends for it. Kai and Luca make a great couple. I loved the banter between the two, it shows the depth of their bond and had me laughing out loud at times. Both men treat one another as mates and equals making for a beautiful story. Their story is full of emotions and angst that kept me engaged all the way to the end. Not only do the main characters have a lot to say but the supporting ones also make themselves known. The relationship between Kai and his brothers adds nicely to this story. Narrator John Solo does a good job of giving this story life. The emotions of the characters are felt as you listen to the narrative and it keeps the listener engrossed. This story is a great introduction to this world and I am excited to see what will happen next.

Seals Shifters are hot

I never would have thought I would enjoy a book about seal shifters, but I did thanks to J.J. Masters and John Solo. This book should come with a warning ⚠️ it’s so darn steamy and John Solo just took it to an unbelievable level of hot. Makes sure you listen with 🎧 cause you don’t want the kids to hear and you don’t want to miss a single thing either.

Interesting and Enjoyable Story

The Selkie Prince's Fated Mate is a surprisingly interesting story with a new twist on fated mates. I was surprised how much I like this story line and characters . I would definitely recommend this.

Great Beginning!

I absolutely love the beginning of this series. JJ Masters has done a fantastic job with this storyline, and writing. Each of the characters are well defined. I love Prince Kai & Luka. John Solo did an superb job in his narration of each character. He really brought them to life. If your looking for a really gratifying to start, I recommend you start here!

Knots make me happy

Sooooooooo .. where do I begin? 😂 First of all, I’ll admit that I wasn’t enamored with the omega in the beginning of this book. Don’t get me wrong, I love omega sluts just like everyone else. 😂🤣 And I can’t believe I am saying this but Luca was a bit too slutty and eager for an omega for my taste in the beginning. 😁 But I have never read seal shifters before, the narrator is one of my favorites, John Solo, and he can do no wrong in my eyes, and I really liked the sample so I decided to continue listening it. And I’m glad I did that because I ended up warming up to Luca in the end. 😌

If you want smexy, I assure you that you are getting abundant of it because the whole book was about Prince Kai getting Luca pregnant so that he won’t be set aside as a useless, barren omega. So lots of delicious smut and yummy knotting. 😋 And one of the best things about listening this book is that, I have never heard John making any of those noises in any other book. 😂 My god, whimpering, begging, pregnancy hormone crying, I had onehelluva blast listening this book. 👏 It was just way too amusing. 😂 And although this was insta-lust and Kai was a bit too haughty at first, I also ended up loving him as Luca’s fated mate. One haughty heir to the throne and one bratty, slutty omega, they made a good pair. 😏 And plus, I like Kai’s brothers, younger princes. So I’m quite eager to start listening book two. Special thanks to John Solo for making my day with all those special Luca voices because I think I’m going to re-listen them whenever I need a pick-me-up! 😁😘

Loved It

I really enjoyed listening to this story. This is the first audio book I've gotten by JJ Masters and I have now gotten the other books in this series for my KU. The narrator does an excellent job letting you know which character is talking. Great job.

Badly written porn

After five chapters of badly written and rather disturbing dubcon porn I'm quite done with this book. I've read better fanfiction. The author clearly has some serious sexual issues. And the beastiality knotting kink gets awfully tedious when it's used every other sentence. Fifty shades of grey with seals. The only thing good about this book - and the thing that attracted me in the first place - is John Solo, but even his skill could not save the appalling writing. Perhaps this book gets more interesting further on, but I'm so completely turned off that I can't bring myself to listen to more of this drivel.

Heartwarming story

If you love heat this story is for you! The first half of the book is a story of passion between fated mates where Luca and Kai can't seem to get enough of each other. :D The heartwarming part of the story starts in the second half with the pregnancy and coming together of the Prince and his consort (love)! I enjoyed it much more once this happened, but that's just me. I love heat as much as the next person, but I need some feels and love and they definitely appeared in the second half. :D I really enjoyed the narration and the writing ability!

A delight

I really enjoyed this book. The narrator was excellent and really brought the characters to life. I thought the story was well written with just enough complications to keep things interesting. I can’t wait to hear about the other brothers!

An easy to listen to story, that made me smile and even giggle out loud on occasion.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

A fun listen with plenty of steam and a HEA

Fun story with shifters I hadn't seen before. Well paced with a great pair of MCs. Can't wait to hear the rest of the brother's stories. Excellent performance by a new narrator for me. I think someone got off too lightly at the end, but hopefully that part of the story will continue as the series unfolds.

Knotting Heaven

Such an entertaining read...
Escapism at it's best, l really enjoyed the totally unique world of the Selkie Kingdom.
Their shifter selves in Seal form, with the all important Seal skins, their heat cycles and the endless rutting.
My goodness was there lots and lots of glorious knotting happening.
Prince Kai and his Omega Luca were adorable in their love and passion, King Solomon a tyrant and a bully.
I loved all the side characters, like the brothers and the Beta servants and the human friends.
l was truly entertained throughout this story , and enjoyed the narrators sexy sounds he had to do, and the different character voices he had to produce.
I look forward to the next book.
