Time was running out for Garion and his companions in their quest to recover Garion's infant son and heir. If they could not locate the Place Which Is No More, then Zandramas, the Child of Dark, would use Garion's son in a rite that would raise the Dark Prophecy to eternal domination over the universe. Only the Seeress of Kell could reveal the site of that mysterious place, and she could only do that once Garion and Polgara had fulfilled an ancient prophecy in the mountain fastness of the Seers.

Kell itself was closed to Zandramas, but her dark magic could force the knowledge she needed from one of Garion's party. She laid her traps and dispatched her foul minions, determined to claim the world for the Dark God. But Garion would let nothing stand between him and his son.

Would you listen to The Seeress of Kell again? Why?

Yes. I love the book, and despite issues with Beierle mispronouncing some names and assigning odd accents to characters (seriously, why does Mandorallen have a Pythonesque-french accent?), his narration is a lot of fun to listen to while I drive.

Any additional comments?

Beierle had his faults--he gets a little carried away with his accents (and I think he misses the mark significantly on a few), but his narrations are the best so far.

However, I seriously wish the narrators would put in the time to get the name pronunciations right. I really don't understand how they can mangle some of them so badly. Here's something "straight from the horse's mouth" I found after a 15 second Google search

The next best thing to reading the book yourself!

this is the fifth book in the malarians series and it finishes up but I would consider two parts of the series The belgariad and the Aryan if you love fantasy this is a book you can really sink your teeth into because the characters have deep rich backgrounds the story is continuous and any side stories or side plots are accidentally finished and you Hunger for More and when belgarath the sorcerer and Paul Guerra the Sorceress comes out it picks up right where this book leaves off it is a wonderful book which means to be read and reread many times over and passed on to Future Generations

a must-read for everyone

I almost cried through most of this book. Everyone got what they deserved. Except for the readers .....I dont think I deserved that mysterious ending.

Anyways......I loved it. And now onto Belgareth the sorcerer

I felt like this was the weakest story of the series, and was rather anticlimactic.
