Karin Slaughter is my favorite writer! The way she always has the characters so well written together and the plot’s always so interesting and not easy to figure out. I also love that I’m always so sad when they end! She always hits it out of the park!!

he Secrets We Hide is such a good book and an excellent addition to the North Falls series. I love the Clifton family. They are all such interesting characters. Sheriff Emily Clifton makes such a great heroine. I read one review that said she was weak and I completely disagree. She is human. She represents a real person who is strong and has moments of doubt herself. She has gone thru immense loss and yet she keeps on moving forward performing the duties of her job.
This series has me hooked and I can’t wait to see what is next in the North Falls series. Will all the secrets come to light? The ending of this book delivers a hum dinger of a secret. That I didn’t see it coming.
The crime that Emily has to figure out is complex and has a shocking resolution as well. It is a reminder that Domestic Violence is a serious issue and the repercussions affect all members of a family. Especially, the children.
As always Kathleen Early is a wonderful story teller. Giving a voice to all these wonderful characters.
I am anxiously awaiting the 3rd installment of the this series.

The book I was waiting after North Falls 1: 5☆

The book is great! Karin writing North Falls series in my opinion is amazing, because I love her writing. For this second book, the more we get to know Emmy and Jude, more I keep waiting for the revelation, but the history in this one is about the murder of Allison, and all the revelations that we came across in the investigation process lead to a complex web. The revelation was not a surprise for me, I could see it coming. The Narrator did A Fantastic job, she'd rock it!
