The House of Kralitz has thrived for hundreds of years while hiding a dark secret in the family vaults. A curse was laid upon the Kralitz line, and today the present head of the household will learn its true horror.
This short story is in the classic gothic style of H.P. Lovecraft, and makes reference to some elements of Lovecraft's famed Cthulhu Mythos. The story was first published in the October 1936 edition of Weird Tales.
