Publisher's summary

Julia: I don’t know what to expect alone at this isolated manor. I’m a nanny for a 10-year-old little girl. Her father is gone. I’m not sure he even exists. Things don’t seem right. There are strange calls, and I hang up. Then, one dark, stormy night, he enters my life. I watch his strange behavior. I witness the strange relationship between him and his daughter. I watch him watch me.

One minute he’s harsh and the next he’s vulnerable. He tells me he needs me. He tells me his wife is dead. I want to believe him because I have fallen in love with him. He doesn’t know I crave him. He doesn’t know I want to touch him. He doesn’t know I’m a virgin. And...he doesn’t know I have found his secret hidden in the floor of my closet.

Jonas: She doesn’t know the murder I covered up. She doesn’t know the woman I destroyed. She doesn’t know the evil schemed I conjured to lure her to my manor. She doesn’t know I altered her fate. She doesn’t know my true intentions. She doesn’t know I watched her long before we met one dark, stormy night. She doesn’t know the man I used to be. But I do.

She doesn’t know the truth.

Follow the epic journey of Julia Ellis and Jonas Fairbanks in this breathtaking, you’ll never see it coming, three-book trilogy of The Secret Series.

Warning: This book contains graphic sexual scenes and is recommended for mature listeners only.

AMAZING!!!

New author for me.
Series Warning for cheating, rape, kidnapping, abortion.
#1 - At first, I wasn't too sure about this because of religious overtones and painful naiveté. SO GLAD, I STUCK WITH IT!! Holy hell, there's a LOT to process. The story is *chef's kiss*
Tracy's style of narration takes a little getting used to, and after a while, she's perfect for the awkward h.
#2 - Oh lawdy!! Uhm, there's no letting up on this and I don't even want to hint at spoilers, but OMFG THIS IS SO GOOD!!!
#3 - This book is Jonas's POV (past and present) and narrated by Aaron. 🤯😬🤯💔 Oh Jonas...😔 Wow! This was an amazing listen!!

The complete trilogy

I purchased these books in the trilogy under the impression that both Aaron Shedlock & Tracy Marks were narrating each. That's not the case. Tracy Marks narrates Book 1 & 2 alone. She sounds like an old LA Noir detectives voice. She speakes in short fast bursts with little emotion. Aaron Shedlock narrates Book 3 alone.

The first 2 books are pretty good. Wealthy business man meets young naive virgin religious girl. He has a lot of baggage & crazy exes. The author writes it like a mystery with lots of hints twists.

The 3rd book is a bit frustrating since is flashes forwards and backwards from past to present. It is from the man's point of view so you will read exactly word for word situations from book 1 & 2 but he will add something unknown that he was hiding at the time. He seems pretty helpless for being an ex soldier & smart business man.

Book 1 & 2 ends in cliffhangers so if you use a credit you may want to get the trilogy.

Great story. Kept me on the edge of my seat

Loved these stories and felt they were complete and riveting.
The last on particularly kept me on the edge of my seat trying to put the pieces together.

Not good

Purchased this as a 3 pack. A huge portion of these books are simply repeating what was already said from another perspective. I've read plenty of books that use this technique, but wow, this was by far the worst, overdone and boring.

The book was too much of a RIP OFF from 50 Shades of Grey; write your own book!

The narators style was stilted and the same throughout, heartbroken the same, lovemaking the same, parenting discussion the same. it was just awful.

The character of Jonas was a nightmare. I knew as I read, she was going to end up with him, he was going to be redeemed, all is forgiven Harlequin romance stuff. just don't pay any attention to the fact that he is seriously damaged and has a controlling, narcissistic, jealous, totally dangerous and illegal relationship style, but hey hes the stuff dreams are made if the dreams are nightmares, and he's rich so all is forgiven. What a waste of time.
