Publisher's Summary

Julia: I don’t know what to expect alone at this isolated manor. I’m a nanny for a 10-year-old little girl. Her father is gone. I’m not sure he even exists. Things don’t seem right. There are strange calls, and I hang up. Then, one dark, stormy night, he enters my life. I watch his strange behavior. I witness the strange relationship between him and his daughter. I watch him watch me.

One minute he’s harsh and the next he’s vulnerable. He tells me he needs me. He tells me his wife is dead. I want to believe him because I have fallen in love with him. He doesn’t know I crave him. He doesn’t know I want to touch him. He doesn’t know I’m a virgin. And...he doesn’t know I have found his secret hidden in the floor of my closet.

Jonas: She doesn’t know the murder I covered up. She doesn’t know the woman I destroyed. She doesn’t know the evil schemed I conjured to lure her to my manor. She doesn’t know I altered her fate. She doesn’t know my true intentions. She doesn’t know I watched her long before we met one dark, stormy night. She doesn’t know the man I used to be. But I do.

She doesn’t know the truth.

Follow the epic journey of Julia Ellis and Jonas Fairbanks in this breathtaking, you’ll never see it coming, three-book trilogy of The Secret Series.

surprising

This book surprised me with easy to follow story with meaning in it. characters in the story are complex and story is not easily predicted. Worth reading.

Amazing

I listen while at work and actually wanted to get back to work to hear more! Really connected to the writing style.

Not good

Purchased this as a 3 pack. A huge portion of these books are simply repeating what was already said from another perspective. I've read plenty of books that use this technique, but wow, this was by far the worst, overdone and boring.

The book was too much of a RIP OFF from 50 Shades of Grey; write your own book!

The narators style was stilted and the same throughout, heartbroken the same, lovemaking the same, parenting discussion the same. it was just awful.

The character of Jonas was a nightmare. I knew as I read, she was going to end up with him, he was going to be redeemed, all is forgiven Harlequin romance stuff. just don't pay any attention to the fact that he is seriously damaged and has a controlling, narcissistic, jealous, totally dangerous and illegal relationship style, but hey hes the stuff dreams are made if the dreams are nightmares, and he's rich so all is forgiven. What a waste of time.

I loved it!

There are twists and turns aplenty in this brilliant and intriguing suspense trilogy. It’s an angst filled journey of love, lies, despair, and deceit. And just when you think you know what’s what... you don’t!
The chemistry between Jonas and Julia is off the charts hot, but they’ll need more than that as they battle against the odds for their own happily ever after.
Aaron Shedlock is a great narrator and while I do love Tracy Marks’ voice I don’t like the way she narrates.

I highly recommend it!!!

Not worth your timr

Firstly I'm sorry I don't normally post a bad review but this deserves it, narration, and story lack anything to keep and make you want to hear more. This one is going back

suspenseful rollercoaster

their loves goes up then crashes down then back up, the first 2 books good reads but could do with a better narrator but is bareable. the last book holds the suspense ridiculously and love how it ends the whole story rather then leaving everyone guessing what happens after they finally get their happiness it gives you an epilogue that makes it easy to create the rest of their story in your mind
