I’m so sad I’m finished
What a wonderful story! I didn’t want it to end! Beautifully written with so many details of history. I could feel every shared moment in the book with all the emotions! Kate Morton‘s books are my absolute favorites! And now I am all caught up with all of her books. Highly recommend ALL of them! I will be checking constantly hoping for a new one to be released!

Ingenious Twist
Excellent story-telling by Kate Morton. Fascinating historical context, characters that genuinely relate to one another, a plot like an onion carefully peeled back, and several twists. The last major twist took me completely by surprise. I enjoyed this audiobook, including the narration, very much.

Thought I had it figured out
I have enjoyed the other Kate Morton books that I've read. I enjoy the juxtaposition of eras and going back and forth between them. This one followed the same style as the characters tried to figure out the "secret." Loved the unexpected ending!

Did not finish
I started this audible book over at least 3 times. It jumped around SO much that after 3 hours listening I gave up. Never could “catch the story line”. I usually really like Kate Morton books but not this one. AND they wouldn’t let me return it. Wasted credit/$. I’ll just skip her books from now on. I don’t like having to listen to hours n hours before figuring out what it’s about. Real disappointed
