The message of faith

It broke my heart the way Claire felt she “was not worthy”, but the message of God’s love and forgiveness was profound.

Excellent story

As always the story if loaded with interesting characters and history of the time Period I appreciate reading an interesting Christian story.

So beautifully written

A poignant warm and rich story full of wonderful characters, repairing of relationships, love and community. I cried a few times with just how heartwarming some of the interactions were between the sisters.

Such a heartwarming and satisfying read (minus not getting Sarah's story ending...alas we have to wait until the end of 2025 to hear that).

Love this series

Everything about this series is wonderful. The continuation about the Summers’s family is perfect. Great narration. Excited for the next installment.

Beautiful, historically accurate, well read.

It was a treat to go back in history to 1820, Sidmoth English.
The readers voice was a balm and the voices of the characters were all recognizable throughout the whole series.
I enjoyed the love stories in the series as well.

Sweet story of forgiveness and redemption,

This was a great read. I really loved the main character development. The romance was light and wholesome.

A real good listen

Another great story from Julia Klassen! I believe this is one of her best, I could not put it down! This series has been well worth a listen, this story is about Clare and shows just how unfair life was in this time period when a lady has an indiscretion and how it affects her life sometimes forever. After finishing the story it made me glad I was not born in this period it was so unjust and without giving too much away, I think I was mostly disappointed in her mother.
I do highly recommend this book and am looking forward to the next one where I’m hoping Sarah finally finds her own happiness.

Predictable but loved it anyways

I like these kind of books, so I thought this one was great! At times, I thought it needed to just move on with some things like how the mom was just still stuck on upholding her dead husband‘s decisions to avoid her daughter… I mean, it got a little bit drawn out. But otherwise the book was so sweet, witty, had some mildly exciting bits, and overall a great listen!
