A ruthless pirate. A deadly siren. And a love that was never meant to be.

For the past 20 years, Nola has watched King Matthias destroy her homeland, turning it into a barren wasteland, and the only magic left in their kingdom is bound to the enchanted crystal of his crown. Though hope lies across the Portland Sea, in the heart of the Fae and Elven Kingdom, Nola has one minor problem: She’s a siren who has never used her tail. All she’s ever known is the land beneath her feet.

After stowing away on a pirate ship, she encounters Captain Lincoln, an arrogant yet handsome pirate, who carries a deep hatred of the siren folk, making Nola fear she won’t make it to the Fae land alive.

However, the captain surprises her when he agrees to take her to the Queen of the Fae, on the condition that she's to be his prisoner within his quarters until they reach dry land.

Amidst massive waves, sea monsters, and dragons arises a bond no one ever expected—the love between a deadly siren and a ruthless pirate.

Author notes: The Sea of Zemira is a pirate fantasy romance featuring mature themes and content. This edition contains some revisions since the first edition published in 2021.

There may be content in this book that is triggering to some listeners, including a character recounting childhood trauma from violence by an adult character, graphic violence, gore, the death of a loved one, abduction, and reference to a character purposely jumping off a bridge intending to fly but resulting in death.

A Fantasy Pirate Romance ❤

The Sea of Zemira: A Fantasy Romance is a phenomenal fast paced story that will have you craving more. I read it and had the chance to listen to I was so excited.

D.L. Blade has created a fantasy realm that is vividly detailed and described making it easy to vision in your head. Bursting with adventure, betrayal and romance, a pirate fantasy that is sovereign. I absolutely love the fairies, elves, magic, monsters, pirates, siren mermaids and the other creatures. An exceptional written story with unique twists and an awesome pirate crew. I absolutely loved the ending and hope there will be a sequel. A must read for all fantasy romance lovers.

While listening to this audiobook I was transported into another world escaping reality and I didn't want to leave it. I absolutely adored the characters and loved Lincoln and Nola so much. I would love to read /listen to more books in this amazing fantasy world. The story is told in 3rd pov which isn't my favourite but works well with the story.

Naomi Rose-Mock became more intriguing to listen to as the audio continued. Her inflection was smooth and easy listening. Her pronunciation and ability to cogitate the right emotions at the proper time, and everything flowed through flawlessly.

A absolute definite relisten. And I need more books in this amazing fantasy world.

A fast paced pirate adventure!

I LOVED the Sea of Zemira. Such a great book. This was such a fun read. Lots of adventure and several plot twists that I didn't see coming (I always see them coming)!

I loved the voice of the narrator. She really made listening to the book so enjoyable.

If you love pirates, sirens and adventure this is an excellent book! Cheers to another good one D.L. Blade!

Fascinating read

I’m not usually someone who reads (or listens) to a lot of YA or pirate books, but this one intrigued me and I thought it was really good. It kept my attention, and I was really pulling for the lead character, Nola. I had no idea how it would end, so that also grabbed me. I love not being able to predict the ending. Great book, fast read, good entertainment.

Pirates and magic galore

A beautiful blend of fantasy and pirates. A corrupt king, lost and thought dead family. This sorry has sirens, elves, fairies, giants and more for everyone. The romance is there but doesn’t outshine the overall plot of the story

Couldn’t put it down

I don’t typically like pirate stories and this one was so good! The character development is always what makes or breaks my interest and D.L. Blade’s attention to detail is flawless. Not only dis she hold my attention, I got to know her characters so well that I cried - twice! This is an incredible read that you don’t want to miss.

Disjointed Disappointing Read *some spoilers*

I listened to this so you don't have too. The audio performance was great but the story was rough. The story moves along really quickly and disjointed. It swaps POV's without notice (at least on audio) and so it's really hard to follow. The plot points that are "trying" moments are easily solved and there is barely any outsmarting or skill that comes into play. The romance is awful. I mean, I was told this was an enemies to lovers but that is just not true. Both love interests basically have instant love and only barely resist it. They fall desperately in love within like 3-7 days. They don't go through any trials together. Nola just "knows" he's a good guy and basically just forgives everything and he is just a horny whiney dude. And those people who say this book is spicy, are absolutely wrong here. The spice was tame. The spice was LAME. I would consider this 0.5 spice at best. Yes, they have smexy time but sheesh is it vanilla, boring and basically the briefest mention before fade to black. No thank you. I would NOT consider this a spicy read.

There are a ton of different creatures in this which is usually awesome but here it got confusing and random. Like what was the point of him becoming a random dragon rider? Or mentioning trolls or 90% of the creatures. And the intro/prequel was so confusing. Those chapters could have easily been flashbacks or communicated as a plot device instead. This book has a lot of good elements but they are mashed together so forcefully that it ruins all of its promise. If you're looking for a pirate fantasy, I'd suggest you keep looking. The writing isn't good enough nor are the characters.
