Interesting perspective on getting the work done

The book has many useful ideas on how to get started and not lose time with nonsense, but it's a bit hard to follow in the first chapters at it uses way too much the "procrastination" word and it gets a little tiring to understand the essence of the book, so it just needs a little bit of improvement. The narration is pleasant.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

WARNING This book will get you started!

This book ruined my morning commute! But not in a bad way. I listen to audiobooks on my daily commute and this book broke up my typically smooth drive. I had to keep pausing it and backing up so I could really listen to what the author was saying. This is no fault of the author or the narrator. There was a lot of very valuable information being presented. I started bookmarking sections so that I could go back and take notes when I got to work. I would then listen to the section again and research the topic to get a deeper understanding.

In The Science of Getting Started, Patrick King discusses the many reasons why we procrastinate and why we fail to start. He not only tells us why, but he covers several tools and methods to help combat procrastination. These strategies can be used at work and at home. I think many of us don't understand what makes goals so daunting, or what makes large projects seem too daunting to start. Patrick King takes several well-researched methods and breaks them down into simple, easy to understand and easy to implement tools.

Powerful resource

I was given a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest and impartial review:
The book delves into how to combat procrastination and comes up with countless ideas, strategies, and techniques on how to defeat procrastinating at its core. Not your usual useless fluff, but a book with a ton of meat on its bones.
