Publisher's summary

On one tragic October day, a horrible school bus accident sends two neighboring towns into a tailspin of shock, grief, and unrelenting sorrow. Jimmy Freeman and his four friends heard all of the stories and rumors about the horrendous loss of life in that violent crash. But their 10-year-old imaginations get the better of them, and now they have to go and see the cursed site for themselves. But some things are best left alone and should never be disturbed.

What a great listen!

What an interesting storyline! There was no way I was going to pause this book prior to hearing the entire story!

I was captivated by both the story and the excellent narration.

I couldn’t have imagined the heartbeat quickening detail and accompanying intense narration from the title alone.

This is a must listen!

"I don't like spiders, Mrs.Hobbs."

The anticipated pleasure of a school trip to a nature park turns dark when the school bus crashes. This first disaster heralds other strange occurances. With a plot which brings to mind Stephen King, this is a well crafted horror novella, with good characterization which holds the reader in suspense. I'm not a fan of the genre usually, but this book held me riveted throughout the full three and one half hours.
In this, the story was ably assisted by the narrator, Skyler Morgan, whose exce!lent performance helped drive the plot forward. Well paced, with good modulation and separate voicings for all the characters, his reading gave the book even greater depth of atmosphere than it already presented.

Like atmospheric horror stories? Like Stephen King? If yes, then this is the book for you. It felt so realistic, plausible, with just a touch of the weird or supernatural. I was most fortunate in being freely gifted with a complimentary copy by the rights holder, at my request. Sit back and enjoy (but not whilst riding on a bus).

Death Reawakened

The School Bus is a creepy little story that is creative, descriptive and well written. Death has not met their quota after school children are killed in a violent bus crash. I truly enjoyed this short story and multitude of characters that learned a very valuable lesson a little too late. Skyler Morgan did an amazing job as the narrator giving the story a bit of life. This is my honest unbiased review that I am voluntarily leaving of my own volition. I highly recommend this book it may not be total horror but it is definitely good. I received this book for free upon my request.

Delightfully, deliciously, horrifying!

The losses were massive, but it wasn’t just confined to the day of the accident. No, it went much further than that. Well researched and magnificently written, “The School Bus” is a ghost story, wrapped around a mystery, culminating in a horror story! The writing is brilliant! I was throughly engaged as every parents worst nightmare came to horrific life in this smooth flowing story about a school bus accident and the horror that followed, but I could not stop listening? No! I was completely immersed in this story! I could feel the story! I had to see it through! The characters, these delightfully unique characters, so well developed, so beautifully defined, seemed to come to vibrant life via the brilliantly, beautifully timed narration of authentically written dialogue! I could see them! I could feel them! They were THAT well written, that well narrated! I laughed with them, I cried with them, and at times I shivered with them! And when the story was over, everything made scary sense! THIS is writing and narration GOLD, and I LOVED it. I loved it ALL! One thing is certain, I want more of this writing and narration duo! Five Fabulous stars!

Creepy and kids go hand in hand

This was so damned creepy. Think stand by me but as a creepy and scary ghost story. A tragic bus accident leads to a string of deaths and disappearances that have a truly sinister origin. It’s hard to beat sinister, vindictive ghost kids for sheer creepiness. Really great quick listen. A must for horror fans. Would love to see this as a movie. Binge-worthy, suspenseful and enthralling

Binge-worthy storytelling and narration at its best. Every parent, teacher and child will find this book both frightening and enthralling. The characters, young and old, were well developed, so I found myself caring about what happened to them. There were continuous suspenseful plot twists throughout the story, which I would have liked to be a bit longer. 3 hours and 39 minutes is short for an audio book and therefore left many unanswered questions. I am hoping that there will be movie version of this story.

Great horror book

This story follows a few young kids and their interactions with a bus crash. I liked the story line and thought it put a fun twist on a haunted bus. I would recommend this audiobook to anyone who is looking for a quick and thrilling horror novel.
