I am able to become invested in the well being of the characters as they become as large as life through the authors description. The horror and sadness I feel when one is in danger makes me appreciate all of the effort put into creating and building even the supporting characters such as Detective Hollis.
Definitely recommend this book to any suspense loving reader.
