10 STARS!!!!

Finally another Elle Spencer novel. Then to see Lori Prince as narrator... I was super excited for this book and it did not disappoint at all. Just when you thought you knew what was going to happen boom (literally). Another amazing book by Elle Spencer after a long wait. I’ve listened to Casting Lacey at least 5 times and purchased a physical copy. The same will probably happen with this one. Again Lori Prince never disappoints. Great narration

Refreshing

I’ve always loved the combination of Elle Spencer at the keyboard and Lori Prince at the mic, so it should be no surprise how incredible this audio book was. I usually rate the books to which I listen but this one was so good I had to include an actual review. And, if it were possible, I would give this one 6 stars!

I was hooked within minutes

One of the best books for 2019. I was immediately drawn in by the story and the characters. Both main characters were lovable and had you rooting for them. Moving between past and present was clear and never confusing. Narrator goddess Lori Prince did a phenomenal job. I will listen to this book over and over.

A nice one

I enjoyed the book quite a lot. It was engaging from start to finish. The dynamics between the main characters were believable and I cared what would happen to them. Also I liked the fact that there were morally grey characters. Too often we get the good ones, the bad ones and nothing in between.

An enjoyable read

This is a great read for a lazy hot day... or for a long ride in the country. Lots of surprises in it, lots of love almost no sex scenes, but it is OK. Narration as usual Lori Prince is a jam.

Great slow burn romance

I loved this book. Great story about betrayal and learning to trust again. Lori Prince did an amazing job with the different character accents.

What a story!

I loved this book and I loved Lori Prince's rendition. this will be one I listen to again. The drama felt so intense and the love felt real. thank goodness it wasn't just a sex romp story like so many others. The girls really knew and loved each other and we're put at odds for real reasons that hurt both of them. Also a real woman of color for once!!!

A Procrastinor's kryptonite

Elle Spencer's writing never fails to contain a gloriously saturated level of superb suspense, that is interwoven with the deliciousness of tortured characters. "The Road to Madison" is no exception to this rule and had been neatly framed by the vocal cords of Ms. Prince. The story hooked me front to back. Well done ladies!

Wow

The story and narration are on point. I loved the whole book, once I started it I couldn’t stop listening.

Fantastic!

Probably one of the best stories I’ve listened to ever! Everything from the plot, characters to the narration was so well done. My only criticism, and it’s a small one, is that I was longing for more scenes of physical intimacy. Not that the story didn’t stand up without them but because Ms Spencer writes them so well and Ms. Prince narrates them beautifully. Would love to see a continuation of Maddie and Anna’s story.

Amazing!

I never write reviews however I couldn’t not with this. It was brilliant and had me hooked from the start. Amazing narration and really didn’t want it to end, the last half of the book had me in tears so many times which a book rarely does for me.

Can’t wait for the next book from Elle Spencer!

My Favourite Lesfic Ever

I absolutely loved this book. It wrapped me up in a cocoon and I felt like I was a part of it.

The story was so in depth and there were so many twists and turns I didn't know where it would end. This is isn't always the case with lesfic books, where often they are lovely, but predictable.

Elle, I loved Casting Lacey, but this book has truly made you my favourite lesfic author.

The narration, as always by Lori Prince, was wonderful. She brings the story and characters to life.

I'm so sad I've finished listening to it. Hurry up and write the next Elle Spencer!

Simply a beautiful story

I really like Elle’s style of writing and I could not stop listening to this book as was a lovely story. Two characters that I really warmed to and great narration by Lori. This is a must listen too... Just downloaded two more of her books and if you have not listened to casting Lacey that’s that a must too! Enjoy

My favourite so far...

I have listened to most of Elle Spencer’s books now and this is by far my favourite. I enjoy all of her works, her characters are so varied and engaging. With this particular story I enjoyed how easily she skipped back and forth through time, filling in gaps of information just at the right time and not a moment sooner.

Romantic, gripping, excellently written

I simply loved this book and Elle Spencer can certainly write a great story with some of the best dialogue I've heard in a long time. No instalove stuff here and no falling back on the old clichés, thin plots, tropes and stereotypes that makes so much lesfic so dull and unispiring. This is packed with well-developed characters with believable motivations in credible situations. Deliciously romantic as well as thrilling

This is a fantastic book managed to drag me into the story and hold me there from the start till the end. Beautiful MC and there story and Lari Prince did a fantastic job as usual . really recommend this book.

Amazing

This a heart felt forbidden romance. This book made me cry so many times. Elle Spencer makes you feel like your living along side the characters. It’s beautifully written. I absolutely loved this book!!!

Didn’t expect anything else!

Elle Spencer is just Elle Spencer. She makes you laugh, she makes you cry, she makes you tingle all over and suddenly go angry out of nowhere.

I thought she reached her high with “Casting Lacey” - but I know better! Seldom have I encountered an author who can keep up their success with every book. Well done! Absolutely loved it!

And Lori Prince was the perfect choice for narration. It was wonderful, totally believable and ended way too soon!
