Four for One pretty good

Want a long book/series to keep you entertained? The River is a good one. There were times that I zoned out while listening (in fairness can happen with any book) but I never found myself lost. Characters had some interesting arch’s and changes. Story was interesting, but maybe slightly rushed. Worth a listen.

good series

This is a good series. It keeps you interested and you start understanding all about the characters.

Dreary

The tone or the mood set up for this interesting plot is uncomfortable. I probably should have just read the book.

The River Saga

This is a coming-of-age space opera that is very long, has many characters, and is hard to follow, like playing a video game for the first time.

Liked: world-building, audiobook narration by Christopher Ryan Grant.

Disliked: Confusing, gave up on rewinding, and just let it go. Needs a good editor and shortened by a third.

The character development is supreme! You will be addicted quickly.

such a wonderful saga. I adore the characters and the twist and turns. The imagination of this universe is epic. You won't be dissapointed.

Great characters and narration. was really neat how the story both spanned a few years as well as a few million at the same time. the author tied up the story in an epic and fantastic conclusion that an fan of space opera will love.

I read a wide variety of genres including sci-fi fantasy and historical fiction. I had stopped reading sci-fi for a little while because the books that I picked up were too unrelatable. This book has it all... action, true science fiction, character development, and a little romance. You will not be disappointed. Spend your credit on this!

Great Character Development

Towards the end of the last book, I started talking to the characters. This is always a sign of a great book, the characters all had such good independent stories that wove together with eachother so well.

I was sad when it was over and I hope Desmonds story continues in another book!

Loved so much! Never a boring moment! Could next chapter or next book! Highly recommend, great space operator

Four books was 1 too many

Fun story but zero attempt to explain the tech and science that breaks all known physics. Each book has its own characteristics but the 4th was rushed and jumped around through its incompleteness.
The narrator blurred voices too much and often seemed to use them interchangeably with characters. It was distracting at times.
