New York Times Best Seller

Witness the epic final chapter of the Skywalker saga with the official novelization of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, including expanded scenes and additional content not seen in theaters!

The Resistance has been reborn. But although Rey and her fellow heroes are back in the fight, the war against the First Order, now led by Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, is far from over. Just as the spark of rebellion is rekindling, a mysterious signal broadcasts throughout the galaxy, with a chilling message: Emperor Palpatine, long thought defeated and destroyed, is back from the dead.

Has the ancient Lord of the Sith truly returned? Kylo Ren cuts a swath of destruction across the stars, determined to discover any challenge to his control over the First Order and his destiny to rule over the galaxy - and crush it completely. Meanwhile, to discover the truth, Rey, Finn, Poe, and the Resistance must embark on the most perilous adventure they have ever faced.

Featuring all-new scenes adapted from never-before-seen material, deleted scenes, and input from the filmmakers, the story that began in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and continued in Star Wars: The Last Jedi reaches an astounding conclusion.

There are few fictional characters as iconic as Princess Leia Organa. The inimitable Carrie Fisher, who portrayed Leia Organa on the big screen until her tragic death in 2016, brought a distinct magnetism and spirit to the character. The Alderaanian princess was a heroine who was constantly evolving, ferociously witty, and unapologetically ambitious. From a royal childhood to her work with the Resistance, here's our essential guide to Leia Organa.

Loved the movie and the novel!

This was by far my favorite movie in the sequel trilogy! I have been a lifelong Star Wars fan and a huge fan of the old EU. I have been disappointed with the new trilogy but enjoyed ROS even though it had its flaws. The novel seems to correct and explain some of the issues with the movie and provides more details not in the film. Mark Thompson is a fantastic Star Wars narrator as always!!

I thought the book gave a great insight to parts of the movie that got skimmed over.

so much better than the movie

The performance is excellent and the additional plot details make the audiobooks far superior to the movie.

A MUST for anyone who saw the film!

This novel will take the listener into a much deeper understanding of the story that is ‘The Rise of Skywalker’. With in-depth and well-rounded back stories that were unable to be addressed in the film, this will give any fan of the final installment of the saga a much deeper appreciation. Again,Marc Thompson delivers a masterful and riveting performance as the narrator.

Great Book!

This book really gave you extended time with characters that you wanted more scenes of in the movie, and cleared up questions many people had.

Pretty much the movie with a littel extra.

As said it's pretty much the movie. But things that left to wondered upon is pretty much spelled out.

Warning mild spoiler:

Highlight was definitely more of Lea's life story and philosophy. Same with Palpatin - thought there was not at much. It was enough for a Star Wars fan as myself to
keep going.

It has the same problems as the movies tho. Still not a good ending. Even worse if these sagas ever seemed to be the end of Jedi and Sith like I believed it to be... well it does not deliver.

Mark Thomson is great as always.

Marc Thompson Does It Again!

Well I quite enjoyed the movie and Rae Carson filled in a couple things, but not too many things I didn't know from the movie. Good Job Folks. sure I will listen a few more times.

Good listen

Worst Chewbacca voicing out of any of the SW books I’ve listened to. Great narration and story otherwise.
