From the author of the Gods Are Bastards series: The wickedly funny action-adventure portal fantasy continues—and things can only get worse . . .

Not long ago, Seiji was an ill-tempered, misanthropic man at war with the world. But then he was transported to a strange, savage realm for the purpose of literally making war on the world. In this reality, he's an extremely reluctant evil overlord with a temperamental goddess patron to please.

So in spite of his own natural unpleasantness, Seiji has tried to be the best bad guy he can be: providing for the downtrodden, offering healthcare to hookers, that sort of thing. Which has won him some staunch (but still diabolical) allies and a hell of a lot of enemies. Especially his main competitor in chaos and crime, Lady Gray, who really didn't appreciate being displaced by him.

But Seiji's coming to realize that despite his brash, bold exterior, his very human psyche is taking a serious beating from the extreme brutality he's committed and witnessed. In fact, he's starting to wonder if being such a big bad dude is all it's cracked up to be—or if there's any way out of all this . . .

The second volume of the hit fantasy adventure series—with more than five million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Second installment of the series in which a modern person is yanked from their life and Isekai'd into another world to be a pawn of Higher Powers - except rather than being the beloved Hero, our MC is involuntarily drafted to become the Villain of the story. Having absolutely zero interest in being a chew toy for the Goddesses game session, and throughly disgusted with the current social order in this new world, our MC decides to build an army from the dregs of society - the neglected, the down trodden, the abandoned - and tear down the corrupt Government, to build something that doesn't actually suck. Oh, and he intends on ruining the Goddesses Gaming session by flipping the board on them, All revolutions have to start somewhere, and this book follows our MC's building of his Dark Crusade.

Excellent story, characters, and narration - talented voice actors and just overall enjoyable tale.

It takes a Villain to Do The Right Things.

A fine addition to the series that leans into being a bit more of a political drama, regrettably our dark lord is not feeling up for a musical performance, wich makes me a little sad, but instead we get some hearth acke, the chapter titles love to miss direct speculation, and due to how cruel the world can be it can really stress out those utterly immersed.

a solid addition

There's not much negative to say about this one, if I had to pick something I'd say that the final confrontation with the main antagonist is rushed. Aside from that one thing that is great about this one is the pacing! Sometimes it feels other authors waste time but not here every moment is important. Oh and the performance! Shout out Todd Haberkorn! Very excited for the next book

The subjects covered here are insane! I teared up like twice! Trauma, feminism, the role of a leader, and so much more

believeable main character, true anti hero/villian. incredible world building and fantastic characters. The stakes are real and at times its very dark... Well worth the credit. Only complaint i have is i follow the author and they are taking a hiatus..

Youve just made the list(Good Shiz edition)
