Publisher's summary

An audiobook rendition of the unabridged original manuscript.

Beck has been coasting through his unexciting life, filled with addiction, and feeling jaded - he has finally accepted that he is a failure... Years ago, he vanished for two years without a trace. Back then, mass media awarded him short-lived fame and all the issues that come with it from his mysterious sudden return. He had no memory of what occurred during that period, making his life different from everyone else he returned to. What were two years for everyone was one single day for him. Years later, burdened with horrible reoccurring nightmares, he is self-medicating to cope with his hazy past.

Then suddenly, he vanishes again, summoned to another world- for the second time. He falls into a totally different identity that he has no memory of. He is Lord Rezner, a summoned hero that turned into a traitor to a kingdom. Facing enemies around every corner with the assistance of beautiful, powerful women and friends, can he reclaim his memories and power to save the world?

Decent first half; Awful second

Story started interesting with a junkie protagonist not often seen in fantasy. The flaw made him interesting as it affected his performance and ability.

However, half way through he took the red pill and it never came up again as he became as interesting as a wood plank. This exposed the fact that this companions were horrible people.

The second error was the postmodern philosophy saying he dad taught him that there is no good and evil. If that was true why hide the addiction? There should be no issue as every action has no moral weight.

It also ruins the story. Siding with his selfish band or the antagonist are equally viable options. At least the enemies stood for something.

Overall, the narrator was decent. As for the writing, the writer should do two more rewrites of their work. The speaking parts seemed to be missing words the characters seem to pick up on and leaving the listener to fill in the missing context. There we also many nonsequitors causing the narrator to stutter.
