The laird MacKintosh, just wants to marry her for her land and clan people, Elora is with the captain of her guards, Declan they go to a tavern and she sees Nathan Campbell, he has lead a rough seven years as a Thieftaker. Nathan meets all what she needs for the job,and Elora hires him and Nathans good friend Caleb comes with them to Castle Bron. I really enjoyed listening to this story, narrattor voice was a pleasure to listen to,did a wonderful job telling this book. Elora had a lot of hang ups and Nathan has guilt over his family and how he had left the Campbell clan. The secondary people in story were very good, made it a heart warming story., Enjoyed Temperance , Elora's little sister ! The plot was different and held my attention, as Elora and Nathan came together for a perfect ending. My review is honest as it's a very well written book,as i enjoy historical scottish stories! I recommend this audio book !

Refreshing

It’s always nice to find historical romances that are well written and without predictable characters and storylines. This is my first book by this author and you can bet I’ll be reading more of her work!
The narrator’s performance was great and I enjoyed that he changed his voice for different personalities. Great job!
The only thing disappointing is the rest of the series isn’t on Audible yet. Thanks for the entertaining escape into another world!

Wonderful!

Lily writes the most fantastic romance stories. This one is no exception. Plenty of different emotions and excitement.
Graham has a great voice and the narration was spot on. I love it!

I'm sorry that I couldn't find one thing to like.

I do not mean to be unkind but I was prompted for a review.
This book was not researched and did not fit into its intended era well. Also, it had no flesh on it's bones. Much like the very old Harlequin Romances plus some sex. It reads like fan fiction for Outlander.
The performance was just woeful.
