Publisher's Summary

Étienne Lacroix and I had a fire I thought would never die.

Our love was timeless.

An irreversible decision sent me back to the present day with a family I barely recognize, but I am determined to find a way back to Étienne.

I can survive time. But I can't survive life without him.

Time bends to no one's demands, so I must fight with everything I have to return to the past. However, I am terrified that the past I once knew might not look the same, and the man who once called me his surviving trace will no longer be waiting for me.

Time bends to no one's demands but sometimes love does....

Contains mature themes.

Gah! An Exercise in Frustration

Wrong in many levels. It reads like a nightmare. Etienne is thick headed and has double standards. It isn’t consistent with the nan we came to know in the first book. Some of it can be written off to the butterfly effect. Serene is as crass and edgy as ever, but even she is a dolt at times. Still too many questions unanswered. Dots not connecting. The female narrator does a good job. The male narrator sounds like he is narrating a Disney Wild Kingdom documentary….”Here’s the pokey badger making his way back to his den, but a pesky sidewinder has other ideas….” I am not convinced I’m listening to Etienne. Still, I’ll finish the series, if for no other reason than to find out if my burning questions will be answered.

confusing but entertaining

the dramatic twisted andcturns are emphasized by the reader/actors. however, the story is not very clear and is often hard to follow. a few steamy scenes spice it up but it is just a bit over the top. frothy chicklit!

Deadpan

I sure do wish this book had an editor… You could play a drinking game with how many times the author said deadpan. The story was pretty good I still find serene to be an extremely annoying character as I did in the first book. I have my fingers crossed that the third book will be better
