Publisher's Summary

Once, the name Macalister Hale was uttered in the boardroom with respect. Now, it’s whispered in disgrace at cocktail parties hosted by Boston’s elite.

Scandal nearly destroyed me, but the one thing larger than my infamy is my bank account, and I’ve learned money can solve anything.

Well - almost anything.

Sophia Alby’s preferred currency is secrets, and the way she trades information puts Wall Street to shame.

This girl charges into my life and claims a partnership can restore my reputation. My downfall was swift, but with her, my climb to redemption will be greater.

Our arrangement is professional. Appropriate. It has to be, because she’s half my age. But it doesn’t stop me from wanting....

To move on. To control and indulge in her. To hear the name Macalister Hale echo in her breathy moans.

But I can’t. Giving in to temptation led to my undoing before, and I won’t survive it a second time.

Macalister!

I adored Macalister from the first 3 books, sure he was the villain...sort of, but he had my heart for all three books.

This book was amazing! I loved Macalister even more and I loved Sophia. She was so much better than Marist.

The narrator's were wonderful and I loved Lance Greenfield he is amazing.

I will be adding this to my physical collection.

Wow!!

I loved this! McCallister was so toxic in the other books and I was really worried about how I was going to view him as redeemable. This book series was amazing! This series is everything! He is truly my favorite character!

I had high hopes

I wish I would’ve read this rather than listen. The narrator for Sofia Albee was monotone throughout. I couldn’t feel a connection between her and Macalister. LG & SP did a good job narrating. In the end, this was not credit worthy for me.

Daddy McAllister is my FAVORITE

Loved this so much. The narrators made it that much better. Also this may have been the hottest book I’ve listened to this year!

Like the story but confused by the female narrator

I liked the story and although I have not read/listen to any of previous books in the series, I did not feel lost. However, I was confused by the female narrator. The female main character is young (in her mid twenties) and I am unsure if the female narrator intentionally read her as a disaffected young woman who spoke without emotion. It felt that way and so I can only like this story and I do not feel inclined to listen to another book in the series.
