MOVE ON FROM THIS ONE

The Red Hunter novel was predictable and quite unrealistic. Julia Whelan's narration was adequate, but it was often confusing as to which female characters she was voicing since she made no attempt to distinguish between those or any other character in the audiobook. Not worth a credit or cost of purchase.

it is not "skull' but "skell" = dumb thug...

it's certainly a rarity to find an audible book that is free of narration errors however, in this novel the author or narrator goes one better by introducing the wrong word!

One would have thought a bit of research was in order but she took the easier road.


As far the storyline, it is one of Unger's best not (the top tome of date being ink and bone in my humble opinion.

I loved everything about this book. Story, characters , and narration . Whelan is one of my all time favorites.

the narrator is the most important part of audiobooks .Julia rocked it! the story was great!!!!

A dud!

I initially found this book very engaging. But , unfortunately, the author's extremely wordy writing style became too much for me. I had to crank up the speed during the last 3-4 hours in order to get to the end. Even then, the storyline seemed ponderous, and the conclusion was predictable.

Rare audible find

It usually takes a week or sometimes more for me to complete an audible book. This particular book grabbed my attention from the beginning to the end and I couldn't hit the "stop" button. The story line is heartbreaking yet riveting. The narrator is perfect in voicing 3 different women. You must listen to this book.

Just what I was looking for.

I liked this book! It kept me interested during a long drive, I like the characters, and I am happy with the ending. I would recommend this book.

A little confusing to start as it has a complex character list....but great story...well worth the read!
