Publisher's summary

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you had the ability to influence people? Did you know that there are people who have the knowledge and master persuading or manipulating techniques? If you want to master these techniques, then keep reading.

In everyday life, we come across people, we often realize that there are individuals who manage to get attention; their opinions are accepted and really followed. And it often happens to you that when you talk, they don't even realize you're in that room.

Before focusing on how you can influence people, you must learn to recognize the techniques some already use. There is a psychology behind all this and you, too, can know it.

Knowing these facets of psychology, but above all how you identify yourself, will help you analyze the big picture of each situation and put you in the position of control to influence others.

The purpose of this audiobook is to let you know:

  • How to recognize manipulation
  • How to handle manipulation
  • How to recognize these techniques, defend yourself, and use them in your favor
  • How to influence others

This audiobook talks about all these topics and more. And even if you don't know anything about these topics, it will help you in simplicity to know and recognize these techniques and to be able to use them in everyday life.

Wow awesome listen book

Great listen! They effectively interface with the individuals they identify with. Regularly individuals think that its simpler to express their interests and needs with individuals they see friendlier. In the event that you bore them, they will revile you, and disdain can create. loved this book

What I like most about this book was it's a quick listen and particularly, the breakdown of the methods of both persuasion and influence in the later chapters. Would have liked more in depth information (e.g. statistics, quotes from other experts). Also, some material was repeated multiple times throughout, possibly to reinforce connections to earlier or important points (e.g. first several chapters repeatedly reinforce the idea of guarding against manipulation). Otherwise, a good listen to introduce the topic.

Ehh

I like the idea of the book but being that I do listen to audibles everyday, using specific terms through out the book without explanation. Or describing a objective by saying “situation A version situation b”

meh

This book is very monotonous and hard to follow. It is presented as a list of lists.

To Anyone listen One Of The One

A classic in the field. This is a must-listen for every member of the Homo Sapiens species. The book explains how we are manipulated by media, salespeople, politicians and even on occasion, our kids. listen this to find out how to be less vulnerable to psychological tricks, and gain back some of the control over your life. Along with 'Thinking, Fast & Slow' it should be listen by every high school student. A friend recommended this book to me and I'm very grateful. Can't believe it took me so long to find it.
