5+++ Stars
There are several things I like about The Probability of Murder. Sophie Knowles is an intelligent and realistic character that proves women can succeed in a male dominated field. I enjoy the way she rationalizes her motives and actions to investigating her friends murder. I also like the relationship she has with Bruce. Both have hobbies that are dangerous and have come to an understanding of mutual trust and respect. The plot is faced paced and the story is very entertaining. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one. I received this book for free in exchange for a honest review.

Great read!
cozy-mystery, university, murder-investigation, friendship, suspense What a way to have your life upended! Sophie is a maths professor with a boyfriend who is a helicopter pilot who does serious climbing for a pastime. A woman who Sophie believes is her friend is found shot to death in the campus library and Sophie is beyond stunned. That is until she discovers some things about her friend rather by accident. Things get beyond crazy from then on. Excellent plot with some very unusual plot twists and red herrings! The characters are clearly drawn and only too believable. Great read! Chris Kenworthy is truly gifted as the narrator. I won the audio in a giveaway!

It's always the one you don't suspect
At first almost everyone has a reason for wanting the victim dead. This time around it was almost impossible to keep them all straight in my mind and to eliminate them one by one. I thought the killer had gotten away but I was wrong. It's always the one you would least expect to have done the evil dead.

The Probability of Murder
I am binge listening to this series, which means I am enjoying it! The mystery keeps you guessing to close to the end. If there were clues that would allow you to figure out whodunit before the end, I missed them! My comment for the narrator is the same. Good narration, but I am used to faster-talking people so I sped it up to 1.35. It was perfect and had the added bonus of letting me finish the book in a fraction of the time.

No Probablly it is a good fun book
I enjoyed this book.it is a nice easy and fun murder mystery. This is book two and you don't ned to have read the first book to enjoy this one because each book is a stand alone. I think I probably enjoyed this more than the first one because I knew more about the charters who are likeable and I liked the unusual job of the main characters boyfriend, It is nice that he is not a policeman and always telling her to but out not to say that there isn't one but still. The mystery was interesting and did keep me guessing. I am off to start book three now. Why well do you know the people around you? It turns out not vey well for Professor Sophie Knowles when a lady she called a very close friend is murdered. The day before Charlotte Crocker, Henley Colleges librarian gives Sophie her gym bag to look after so it is not sat in the car all day in a bad part of town. on her death Sophie comes it to try and find an address book in order to contact Charlotte's next of kin and finds a whole new side of her find that she knew nothing about. The bag was full of money and Charlotte wasn't her real name. Was she on the run from the cops or bad guys? How hid out as an librarian in a collage? and more importantly who would want to kill her? and does Sophie really want to know or care? With Sophie's boy friend trapped on a mountain in a snow storm and no way of getting in contact she can either sit around worrying or do something to get the answers to at least one of her questions, like where did the money come from? and who broke into Sophie's house to get it back. I liked the narrator she is quite expressional; although I did speed up the narration speed. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
